This is my first grow and I need help. The leaves coming off the top of my plants are turning a flourecent yellow color. The leaves that look like they are coming out of the bud. I'm only in week 3 of flower and just started. Buds are still real small and I'm worried that they might be done at an early age. I heard that when the leaves turn yellow they are almost ready to harvest. Oh, they are kinda close to the light too (like 6-8 inches)(1000W light) but the temp's at the top of the plants is 73F-74F. Should I mix some Nitrogen (Veg nutes) in with my bloom nutes. Are They going to end their cycle early, and stop growing? Are they too close to the light? Or are they Nitrogen deffieciant? I need help on this one, I don't want to do the wrong thing.

If heat is not your problem then one or both of the following might be.

Fe - IRON (Fe)

Leaves on growing shoots turn pale and veins remain dark green. pH imbalances make iron insoluble. Foliar feed with chemical fertilizer containing Fe or rusty water.

Mn - MANGANESE (Mn)

Necrotic and yellow spots form on top leaves. Mn deficiency occurs when large amounts of Mg are present in the soil. Foliar feed with any chemical fertilizer containing Mn.

Brick Top. OK. I think you must be right with what you said about the Iron. What do you mean "foliar Feed with Fe, or rust water"? what contains that? where do I get it? When I fed my plants the last time, my PH was really low (I forgot to PH then remembered after I fed them and PHed the left-overs and the PH was 4.2.) Then when I watered the day before yesterday I watered with a PH of 6.7. Is that what's causing this? could it kill my plants? THANK YOU for your help ( I am doing this alone with no help). Either way, you have helped a lot by putting your finger on the problem. If you can answer the other questions I just asked you, it would be a GREAT help. Again, thank you.

SogBunn. If you keep your temp down (70-75F or 75-80 with Co2) with air cooled hoods and cool air running through them, you can have your lights really close a believe. I have a themometer that I hang right above my tallest plant and make sure the temp stays there. This is from info I got off people here on RIU.
