My brother-in-law related a fight he had with my sister right before bedtime. When it came to the silent treatment my brother-in-law reminded her that they agreed to never go to bed angry with each other. In a cold, deadly voice (I'm scared of her) she replied, "I know dear, but you have my permission to go to bed while angry with yourself. You might even beat yourself up over it in your sleep. That will be the reason for the blood and contusions." He slept in the guest room that night.
I grew up with that woman. My keen survival instincts are a direct result of the life or death struggles we would engage in. With one stipulation. I was never allowed to lay a finger on her. She's a girl after all. I think that's why I'm such a good runner. I ran from that scary bitch. And I felt no shame. I chose life.

Get a grip people, and join the rest of us in reality. A man knows when he deserves to be slapped, kicked, or punched by HIS woman; and has to tak eit like a man. But, if a woman thinks she can get a free ass beating in on you while you are some how morally, ethically, or legally bound to just take it, she needs a slap of reality. You should never put your hands on other people if you do not want to be hit back.
When I was young I was riding shotgun with a group of people. A drunk woman in the back, for no real reason, started scratching me, trying to claw my face, and punching me. We were doing 70 and I had my back to her with nowhere to go. After about a minute when it was clear she wasn't going to stop. I left elbowed her in the face. She sat back and started crying about it. It was a unanimous decison by the other two occupants, male and female, that she had it coming.
In my younger days I tried to help 3 different women, all strangers, getting beat by their man in public and all three times I found myself fighting both of them. I leave that shit alone, but there is no hard rule. Restrain, run away, if you can, but if not, you defend yourself and no more.
