nah i know because i've been doing a little research

all of h & g base nutes have 11-12% in the "A" bottle

just research and bugging H & G reps.... thas all...lol

sorry i just seen this.

no i have never had that happen. my pH is stable as fuck...so stable i barely even check it anymore.

also DO NOT use h2o2 in your res with H&G

you WILL be spending more money (h2o2) to waste the money you already spent (your h&g nutes and additives)

roots excellator IS your h2o2. just way better and way more gentle
please explain about root excellarator replacing h2o2.

it kills the bad stuff just like h2o2, and it makes your roots explode like a mofo... LB may have a more technical answer tho :)

:hump:

nope...thas a good enough answer for me

not to mention, it cost me less than 28 cents per gallon of feed water using Roots Excellator.

talk about efficiency!!!!

so it has enzymes in it??? or beneficial bacteria???---------------------------I could be wrong but I don't think it adds oxygen to your water, It doesn't seem to have the properties of an oxidizer either. I just thought since LB had the inside info on the product he could elaborate. My guess would be its ingredients are a concentrated humid base with rock phosphates and a common root hormone.(just a guess-lol). Very effective stuff though.

ive tried to ask H&G specifics about the ingredients of several products and was told that they would have to ask the guys in the lab in Holland, and that that would be impossible :( they are keeping their secrets tight, but they did say that their were several ingredients in their products that werent listed on the label... most products that work really good have plant regulator hormones in them that arent listed on the labels, many companies do this, but im not 100% positive H&G does, but im pretty damn sure.

im not sure what exactly is in it that kills mold/rot ect... but i'm 100% sure that it is in there.

HEY!!!! i know exactly who this is...

sup buddy? long time no see!!!! your broken keyboard dash mark gave it away buddy

no it has neither. it doesnt add oxygen to the water, but so what? h2o2 sucks and it can only add so much oxygen to the water. DO (dissolved oxygen) is relative to water temps. the warmer your water temps, the easier saturated water becomes...... so with about 75-80 degrees water...you only getting about 5-7 mg/L (ppm) of DO

i dont rely on air pumps nor h2o2 for my DO. air pumps can inject airborne pathogens and spores into your reservoir causing wild EC and pH fluctuation.

and h2o2 doesnt matter either... i see people who have 80F res temps and using h2o2, swearing up and down its their chemical airstone..... well what folks dont realize is that DO level is relative to temperature.

water has pretty much reached its saturation point @ 50F around 14ppms of DO.

but yea Dr. my guess is as good as yours with the humid base. I've been trying to squeeze the detailed info out of the Technicians...but they are playing that one (ingredients) close to the chest. I guess that is their real money maker!!!

for a minute i thought it was magic sauce...LOL

Sounds great and your spot on with the O2 and temps.
It's been a while LB but it seems you've got things under control. I love the ROOTS EXCELL----Great to hear your still rocking brother--I'm not going to hijack this thread so I'll PM you...

I don't think there's benificials or enzymes but there has to be something extra that makes those roots so profuse and white---mabey an anti-fungal???-----your probley right----"MAGIC SAUCE""bongsmilie:confused:

i agree there HAS to be some type of anti-fungal agent because i dont think there are any enzymes or beneficials

yea we should dub Roots Excellator to "Magic Sauce"

hahaha

and oh yea...before any of the h2o2 fanboys jump on me for saying h2o2 sucks

let me rephrase that...h2o2 doesnt suck....i just dont use it in my res. i have a few bottles in my closet. i only use it to clean out res IF NEED BE between crops.

hell i never use it in my res.

i still stick by my opinion of sillyness using h2o2 and 80F water and using it as a 'chemical airstone'

:P

Funny this topic came up. I contacted the rep for H&G this exact question a couple of weeks ago: Can I use H2O2 with Aqua Flakes?

His response: "H2O2 will kill any beneficial organisms in the nutrients. The Roots Excelurator does have some beneficial bacteria. As long as you know the consequences I think it is fine."

Can i use drip clean with another line? Are they compatible? I wanted to run a coliseum w/ canna nutes and drip clean.... thoughts?

Hmmmmmm, that kinda sucks - building my bubble cloner today and was going to use some Roots Excelurator for the first time, but I guess I'll have to go without my trusty H2O2 - as someone above said, I do kinda use that as my third airstone - I just love an extra oxygen molecule floating around in there, figure it's gotta be good.

Gonna go without it this time and see what happens, though.

Yeah, I was interested in it's sterilizing capabilities but I'll re-evaluate things after this run.

why add more cost?

lol

why??!!?!!! i just dont understand it.

long as you keep your shit clean and pathogen free which is easy unless you are injecting air into your reservoir and keep warm water, you wont need it.

roots like cold water and high DO (dissolved oxygen) levels, not warm water and h2o2.

Were you referring to me? If so, I realize that I don't "need" Roots Excelurator, and my clones will do fine without it - that being said, I imagine that they'll root faster and make my system more efficient with it, so I don't mind spending the money as long as there's a sufficient ROI to justify said expenditure.

Plants don't "need" a 1000 watt light, House and Garden Nutrients, CO2 enrichment, or many of the other things that I provide them with, but it makes my system more efficient, so I go with it.

Everybody's got what works for them; good luck to you in your grow.
