The Main-Lining Thread

Hey zoo. You should clean up the bottom and give it a few days to recover before flip. I did this sunday. Flipping tomorrow. I dont have current pic but it filled back out nicely
I was thinking about that, thanks for the advice! I wanna snag a few clones at least from #2 before I flip cause she seems to be the strongest pheno I got. I was thinking maybe a supercrop to let the lower clones grow a tad more, take the cuts and clean lowers as the bends finish recovering. What do you guys think?

I normally take clones during veg and get a 90% positive outcome.

This time I took clones one week into flower and about 75% took, of those that took I'd say they took about 7 days longer to root than from when I clone from veg.

I say you go for it!

Obviously you're going to give yourself recovery time between the supercropping and cuts.

I would also give myself a few days before flipping after those cuts just so you're not stressing the plant out too much.

If you have the time to do this now and space for her to grow after flipping, you're golden.

Need some advice here please, the three Cold Creek Kush girls are fattening up nicely, as is the Sour Diesel.

However, the SD has light/dark patches on a large number of fan leaves. A couple leaves are getting brown dry spots now.

What's wrong? I'm likely missing something or overdoing something that the other three don't seem to be affected by.

Here are pictures at day 33 of flower. You can clearly see my issues on the SD on the close up images.

i am not sure, could be a ph fluctuation. what media and ph are you using? did you recently change over to bloom nutes?

I'm in 50/50 OF & HF, pH 6.8, RO water w/ 5ml/gal CalMag on water only and 5ml/gal CalMag 10 ml/gal GH Bloom on feed. They get watered or fed every 4-5 days, I alternate between watering and feeding. Today is a water only day so the CalMag is happening, and I'm introducing molasses today.

Thoughts?

Maybe keep the same routine with the CCK and lighten up on feeding the SD?

I do notice the SD pot is usually heavier than the CCK pots in between watering or feeding.

And the SD didn't get main-lined like the other girls... so I'm sure she has a different root structure.

She is a 4 lined clone.

She is smaller but has big chunky colas. I'd hate to fuck her up too bad almost halfway through flower.

you could try lowering ph a little to 6.5, they dont look too bad. a little discoloring halfway thru flower is pretty normal.
Sounds good, I'll give her a lower pH batch than the others when they get watered tonight.

Looking to control this before it becomes widespread on the SD.

Thank you for the advice!

I pHed my rainwater because the garden always looks so good after a rain.

The pH was 5.7!

Volcanic areas have very low pH and the best cannabis grows in those places.

Fixing problems in soil during flower is always iffy. Might try a little epsom in your water too. The sulfur is beneficial for fruiting. Do you use any micro nutrients? I have had great results with AN Jungle Juice Micro.

Cheers,
Mo

No micro nutrients. I'll check some out next time I'm at the garden store.

Hello. Sorry if I am interrupting a thread here. I just have a quick question. I grew years ago and stopped and just started again. My first one starting back up was shaky but flowering now but I wasn't able to crop or mainline or anything because I had mixed in a Auto So my second round is almost ready and I want to Mainline. I did it years ago and was good results. But I have a WHITE WIDOW X BIG BUDS and she is very healthy medium to dark green and growing very nice. Nodes are about an inch apart at the most and she grew her 6th and is just peeping out leaves for the 7th. Usually you too down to the 3rd node. Which I would wait another week to do. But the 2nd nodes growth tips for colas are already 2+ inches long and are peeping up thru. Can I top it down to the 2nd node right now and be ok? And root the top. Here's a pic. I just think she is strong enough to do it and the growth tips at the 2nd node are already growing nicely so it's making me want to cut the Veg time shorter by topping it down to the 2nd node so I can begins Manifold forming sooner

I really need this one to work out. So I don't want to do anything to kill it or stunt it so bad it takes forever. Lol. That's all. Guess maybe I'm just a bit nervous since I've only done it a few times years ago and I waited until it was a healthy 6-7nodes. This is a very healthy 5-6 nodes but short since it's an inch between each node.

I had one that over grew before I could mainline her properly. The top is now a fat mother plant, that specific plant #4 in my current grow, has the fattest nugs of the bunch.

I think it's going to rock for you, good luck!

Thanks. I just cut her down to the second node and everything went well. I kind of did something goofy too but hey. What the hell. I took even the little growth tips that were atleast forming a second node. They were only about an inch long. Maybe a little more. I figured why not stick some rooting powder on them too. If they root they root. If not then not wasted time. I just stuck them along the edge of the pot so if they do start to root I can easily transplant to a starter pot. Figured it's silly to think those smaller ones will do anything but hey. Why not try. Maybe one out of 6 will root and I'll have an extra plant. Here's some pics. She look good I think tho
