Hey y'all,

I have harvested the White Rhino and work on the clones, check out my Journal for the pics.
I will be posting a grow recap after the WR dries.

Got some questions on SOG grows, never done this before and just not sure.
But first pics of the harvest.

20160118_114840.jpg 20160118_115509.jpg
These are 9 days of 12/12 but only 7 days under the HPS, had them for two days of 12/12 under my old LED.
Before pruning

After purning
20160118_135852.jpg

Is this too much pruning, not enough? I pruned them all to 5 and 6 major stems and cut everything underneath. Sex is just showing as of today, will only do minor pruning, LST and supercropping till the 20 day mark then only LST to finish the grow.
This is going to be a lot of work hand watering once and/or twice a day, but this is such a wonderful hobby and I get my meds much cheaper.

How much defoliation should I be doing with a SOG?

Hey there, thank you very much for this very informative forum, I've just got one question:

Decided to go for 4 tops and it's already done (what you see in the pic is one of the four) -
My only question is if the first pair of growth tips (next to the black clamp) you see in the picture should be removed or if they should be left alone? (As you can see in the picture, the real first pair of growth tips of the branch already was removed) - Only asking this because I think they might grow upwards and become 'their own branches' "competing" with the rest?

Extra info: Thinking of putting them into flowering in a few days

Thank you!

Fall 15' White Rhino and Exodus Cheese Smoke Report

White Rhino in jars curing but weight prior to cure - 47 grams, little disappointed in the weight, from the looks and feel of the buds I was expecting 3.5 zips.
First smoke, ok, not a lot of flavor or fragrance, decent high, still very green, 4 +/-. Hopefully it will be better by the end of cure.
I love the structure of this plant, the nodes were very symmetrical, tight spacing and buds are fairly compact. I think I may stagger the harvest of the 6 plants in the SOG now, I harvest this on at the breeders time recommendation.

Exodus Cheese, second week of cure, the weight prior to cure is just under 3 zips. Am pleased with the flavor and fragrance are very nice, definitely cheeses smelling, love the draw and the exhale is very good. Little cough, very good high and long lasting. I give it a 4.6.
THe plant structure was sativa dom, buds were fairly compact and firm. I again harvested at the breeder's recommendation and will stagger this harvest. There were very few amber trichs, around 60% cloudy at harvest.

Here is my current grow. The picture is a few days old. I have a 80x 80cm space. I have found that two 8 mainlined plants don't fill the space very well. What I am doing now is grow 4 plants that are mainlined to 4. This gives me 16 main colas that should be nice and fat by the end. I grow in 8-litre buckets of coco which is drip fed 3 times a day during flower. Currently, I am just waiting until the plants have enough growth ~ 20cm until I switch to flowering.

Looks gr8 tac,
I should consider doing something like that in my space, I like how I have my space now good and filled. Did not mainline this batch but have 12 plants in a SOG like fashion. I am posting in the world of hempy thread but if they don;t mind I will post here also.

so sativa mainlined white cookies is pushing up inter nodal growth as expected, going to get 2 extra tops per cola. not so traditional but we will see where it goes, they look like they are definitely going to reach the canopy. and one is kind of auto topping itself at its alternating leaves... interesting. either way I have the wattage, 2 directions of light, and reflection factor to make everything fill out.

that hps glow with the platinum led is pretty tits.

So I am currently doing the nebula manifold technique, only topping twice, on Nirvanna Fem Bubblelicious and Fem Blackberry. This pic was taken a little over a week ago, the two on the right are the blackberrys with 8 tops, the two in the center are the bubblelicious, one with 8 tops one with 4 because of slow growth. The others are just freebies.
They are 41 days from seed under a 1000w mh in 10 gallon smart pots with pro mix hp. I plan on letting them veg until 3/12 so that they can grow big because I have the head room to do it. I'm hoping for at least 4 zips a plant.

week one and most of the stretch has been in the under canopy, I pruned all of the stretch out and hopefully this next week they will stretch in the tops.

Hey
Smcizme, Any new pictures about your grow?
I'm thinking about doing nebula style because saving some time. Not that I'm in hurry to harvest but if my calculations are correct, I don't have time to cure properly before summer vacation if I do full mainlining. Couple extra weeks should do the trick.
Any tips to save some time :) My plants are in organic coco/perlite mix. Right now I'm 4 weeks in veg from seed, 6th node is starting to take off and I'm gonna do first top in next week.
