The Main-Lining Thread

You want to perform Mainling while the plant is in Veg not flower :)
I am well aware of that. I read that whole tutorial on Grow Weed before I made my decision.
I made the mistake of trimming that plant too much before I put her in with her sisters to flower. She hasn't grown or showed any signs of flowering, no stretching, nothing. So I decided that since she's short and stocky, I would mainline her.
It's just for fun. I have 9 other plants.

Put her under a fluorescent light and she will stretch more.
I'm getting some new lights, a grow tent and some Fox Farms "help grow" stuff next week because all I've been using so far is water and organic soil and two compact bulbs with 4000 lumens in a box. It's my first indoor grow and just now learning what I should have had before I even started. I will see what I can get in the tent. Thanks.

Greetings!

This is my first post here at Rollitup, thought I'd start by posting here.

I've been mainlining some plants, I recently found out about this method when I came across nugbuckets tutorial.
This is my second grow, so I'm still dialing in a few details. I'm using the Canna nutrient line and my plants are currently in 3 gallon containers under two Advanced LED DS800 panels. 7-8 weeks veg so far.

I think I may have started the mainlining process to early on some of my plants, I'd like some opinions, if possible, on how my girls are looking.

Resize the pictures so that they are 1" wide and 600 dpi. They will still look amazing and won't cause loading issues.

Most people ML too early. You want a nice big plant with a good root system before you start.

All of the info is in the first ten pages of this thread.

I've read through the info on those pages and much of it is convoluted in the sense that not one method is necessarily more sound then another. I've received from that info more or less a set of guidelines, with much detail to be desired. I think my plants will respond nicely although :).

Indeed, although I think the hardest part is the extended veg time. It's a bit unnerving to cut my girls up this way but I have high hopes.

I hope the strains I am running are suited well. Btw, I'm running Pre-98 Bubba, Granddaddy Purp, Headband, Girl Scout Cookies, and Blueberry.

Going to clean most secondary growth in the morning before lights out, on both of the big girls. About 12 days into flower.

Mo, click on the file number next to the pic, it produces a couple of sizes to look at.

Just wanted to pop in and see how things are progressing.

I harvest/dried/cured my last two mainlines on 4/20 and 4/25, 3.5 zips from one and 4 zips from the other with about .5 zip of larf.

Now I have the clones in the cabinet and have begun the harvest/dry/cure on this group of four plants, not mainlined but supercropped each plant. My first attempt at supercropping and I want to do some more. I am harvesting the plants at 11 weeks, 12 weeks and probably the other two at 13 weeks. I have harvest/dried/and curing the 11 week plant, the 12 week is harvested/trimmed and hung up to dry. The other two plants are still in the cabinet.

The 11 week plants yielded almost 2 zips and it looks like the other three will do that maybe a bit more. I constantly get better results from mainlining than I do from any grow method I have done. I have not done a Scrog or SOG but may try a SOG after my next grow in the fall.

Got enough Black Widow to make RSO with two to three oz. I want to try an Indica dom grow in the fall.

Here is a pic one of the BW clone I harvested at 11 weeks. Think I posted these recently but cant find them.

I do have a question, has anyone tried supercropping each main of a mainlined plant? Wondering what it would do, I know the main that I supercropped on each clone got much larger than the rest of the plant.
Let me know what you think.

I have supercropped all of the mains a few times each during veg and they have all gotten bigger after. 2 of the mains that were growing the fastest I began on them, 1 on each plant and still ended up having the fastest stalks and being the tallest so far.
