you need to study my friend, amsterdam didn't have anything until they got landrace strains from the states mainly cali. Do some research it has been going on in the states since the 60's. I'm talking over 50 years worth of cannabis growing and breeding.
I thought you meant 'legally' 'decriminalised' my apologies...

California is in Afghanistan ?
or perhaps Laos or Mexico or perhaps Columbia

Land race LOL
Like I said it was the hippies in cali in the 60's that traveled to those places and brought the landrace strains back to northern Cali where every hybrid comes from......the land race strains.

Just did my 2 day check on the girls , both Jack Herers are well up outta the soil now and firing away.

The AK is a couple of days into flowering and the Notorious white has just joined the party , both girls as promised thank god.

AK is looking a bit off today , slight yellow spots on the leaves and top leaves turning upwards on the sides. I moved them away from the fan incase that was causing it and turned the speed up temps were a little high. If the same in twp days I'll raise the light up a little but the NW is fine.

I haven't fed any nutes to her yet, a week into flowering should I start giving some would that be what it's looking for?

I'm watering them every two days when soil is dry an inch in?

Any ideas?
id start feeding them man, what nutes have ya got...hard ta tell without pics tho..

yep and they all met at grateful dead concerts to exchange the best weed seeds in the world some 25 years later
great end to a fantastic story
Wrong again. A bunch of hippies that traveled the world to get the genetics moved to northern California, where the climate is perfect for growing, to start a commune to grow all these amazing landrace strains and began breeding and with each generation of kids growing up growing cannabis started the world of the hybrid. The people that grow in northern california have been doing it for generations, its in their blood they are the world experts when it comes to growing and breeding. Not saying other countries aren't doing a fine job like spain, the netherlands, UK, and Canada.

The only well known strain that came from a grateful dead concert is Chemdawg one of the best hybrids in the world it is the father of all diesel strains and headband. go to the site en.seedfinder and look up any strain and most will have US homegrown hybrids in there lineage.

Shit cheese is nothing but landrace strains:

Nope just over a decade of research about cannabis, growing and breeding plus plenty of documentaries.

I'm not here to start a fight, this is my favorite thread and it is peaceful and I want to keep it that way. Ask anybody on this thread and will tell you I know my strains and do a lot of research on them.

So good luck to you and your growing, I hope you turn out some fine herb.

I have never read high times, its more of a kids magazine.

its a shame that America was unable to distribute hybrid seeds around the world
or even across america
this is why mexican brick weed was and is still popular overthere i guess
the dutch and the Canadians created the hybrids using american clones
and distributed these seeds to the world

do you think the dutch brothers should be paying you guys royalties ?
because i do hear a few of you guys kinda crying about it

Brick is not at all popular in the states due to it being so easy to get high grade cannabis now. Nobody I know ever gets mexi brick nor could we even find it if we tried nobody bothers with it there is no need. Maybe in states in the south but not in the west coast, north east, or midwest especially due to all the medical mj.

I don't think anybody owes anyone royalties for hybrids. If I came out with a new breed I would be happy to share it with anyone, I don't believe in hoarding strains, that is how strains get lost forever.

Not sure what country you are from but believe me mexi brick is not popular in fact the opposite it is looked down upon.

As far as you not thinking nobody shared any hybrids from the states check out this info about blackjack:

never really understood the point of some Americans talking about old cali hippy clones
as when you follow the story to the end it was the dutch that provided the most genetics spread across the world
these seeds produced many of the keepers today all over the world
any hippies from cali or peasants from Afghanistan selecting plants in fields are not relevant
unless its a history lesson

dont get me wrong i am not taking anything away from you guys
i am grateful for your northern lights anyway , its just when i see some Americans whining about the dutch
it makes me think you guys feel you are not getting the credit you deserve or something

Most americans don't even care about the dutch because we know we have tons of high grade cannabis everywhere. I would have to argue about the dutch creating more hybrids than in the states that are keepers. Most dutch strains are old and not relevant here in the states with the thousands of breeders here now.

where they come from is of no importance to me
i just see it as the largest gene pool to select from came in the early 90s when seeds
started getting shipped around the world, this allowed for huge numbers of hybrids to be grown and keepers selected from these seeds
which were mostly dutch , again the fact they were dutch is of no consequence to me its just how it was

obviously now there is an even bigger gene pool of hybrids but much of these are not unique
some of the older crosses have been lost

again it is the dutch and the uk seed companies that are spreading these genetics around the world
much of the problem is your laws on seeds, im sure you would of done this all yourselves
and perhaps the dutch would of not had a gap in the market to fill in the early 90s since you could not export seeds from the USA

peace

There are plenty of US seed banks now but they only ship to medical or recreational states. But there are breeders in every state like kansas, MrDank created the clone only strain Golden Goat

yeh, its a shame, if your laws were different many americans would not need to rely on the dutch or the uk for your seeds

should change that crazy law , seems silly seeds come all the way from elite cali breeders then shipped secretly all the way to England or holland
to some seed company then shipped back to the USA again only to get snagged by customs or some shit .. crazy times
