Nice way out of the height problem. I have no real separate veg area at mo. I have an idea though. I am thinking of getting a wide bore (38-42 inch) plastic water pipe about 5' tall and lining it and using that. Although if I could my hands on a plastic drum or water butt I think I could get away with that either. Still keeping my eye out for them though.

Craic lads , just said I' pop in and say hello in the Irish thread, I've been away from this for about 6 years but used to grow back then. Did a couple of successfull one's indoors in wardropes and closets using basic equipment , a 250 watt hps, fan and a bit of mylar.

Decided I want a bit of decent smoke coming into the winter (When I get to take some time off to myself and play a few games) but don't fancy paying good money for crap smoke so chose to get my hands green again instead, plus I actually really enjoy growing it. Had a few quid spare this time and needed a secure space so I opted for a full tent , 400 watt hps , fan , carbon filter and extraction. Growing as always in soil and planted 3 x auto AK Passion and 1 x Notorious white all female.

Unfortunatly I made an early mistake and chose a soil that was too rich and added nutes too early , it completely wrecked one of the AK and stunted the other two but they are now recovering well, going to replace the one I lost with another NW so i'll have 2 of each just will flower/finish at diferant times which is fine.

Anyway, that's me I'll add a few pics as they get bigger!

Hey man sounds sweet, few of us growing about the same time. How far along into veg are you irishcrx? Got a 400wmh going myself bit over kill for popping beans but it's a cooled will be switching to a 600w hps for flowing. Pow lol

You should have no prob getting something to sort your veg place out.

I'm about 2 and a half weeks into it since they came through the soil , they started outdoors (windowsill) for a week or so while I was getting everything set up and I had to transplant into bigger pots so they are just evening out into it now really. I'll know better in future to plant straight into the tent into large pots so next time round I'll have a better kick off just a bit of ring rust.

I'm using the HPS for both stages it's dual spectrum. Heat isn't an issue because the extractor is working away and the fan is doing it's job.

Nah man your better off starting em in the smallest pot u can get n let em sluts fill out then you repot.buy only reply in veg don't disturb her in flowering unless you have to! Shit would be more shocking than getting a black baby(unless your black)

The three strains got dwarfed from the root rot but at least we caught it and salvaged something. The GreenCrack Clones are twice as tall and look the same at 5 weeks as to the dwarfs at 7 weeks.

Yes it's only on the one Cotyledon , the other one looks deformed + it's tip is black or grey + its feels dry to the touch at the tip only, I will post more pics as soon as I switch the light back on at 7pm. O by the way I am using Biobizz light mix with extra perlite added and watered with 6.9 water. Temp is fine when light is on it's no more than 75 deg f, 70 deg f when light is off, air flow is good also.

Bio Bizz seems to be handy to get in the grow shops.
Hoping to have every thing up an running by next weekend.
There's a few about 20 minutes drive away. Might just order them off the internet though.

If your going to use biobizz nutes ...get plagron batmix soil ...they work excellent together....or advanced sensi grow a.b and bloom a.b with biobizz all mix ..also good together....

It looks over watered....u should be starting your seeds in 4" pots ....u have more control over them....they get a good strong root system in small pots ....2-3 weeks in the 4" and then pot up....the taproot could be struggle to reach the bottom if it's overwatered...just my thought..

Cheers for the advice mate, but it's an auto flower, and I thought that autos are best put in their final pot to stop stress. I will be starting regular seeds from now on.
