The "Fruitiest" Strain?

I just grew out their c99 over summer. Super pineapple pheno but it was LOUD. Wouldn't have worked for a stealth grow IMO because you're whole property smells like pineapple skunk lol. Granted mine was ~7' and outside, and smaller indoor may be easier to conceal the skunk part of the smell. Great bud, still have around an elbow of it sitting in a cooler still. Too sativa Dom in terms of height and stretch for me to keep around though.
C99 is not skunky or stinky at all. Maybe what you grew was not C99 but the "enhanced" version of C99 they call "Sex Bud". From the Female Seed's description: "SexBud is a new reinforced version of C99 strain that finishes a few days sooner... producing sugared buds... Extremely fruity like a pineapple / grapefruit."

Dunno, my c99 was beans from female seeds. Pineapple pheno that was super loud pineapple. Not skunky loud, but fruity loud with hints of skunk. Could've been their sexbud, by it was labeled c99 lol.

I have a few seeds of la cheese right now. I don't know if they'll ever get run. I'm not super into the cheese taste/smell. Great bud, just not for me. If I knew the la con would overcome the cheese I would think about it.

It was a clone from a Reserva Pravada bean and the cheese was the most prominent after a long cure.Undeniably a cheesy pheno on mine. The wife hated the smell when I cracked the jar lol. It was a good short/bushy indica dom grower other than the foxtail. I pushed her ppms in hydro up to over 700 too I believe and she never "complained".

I think I have big Buddhas la cheese. I would bet on reservas being better lol. Can't get anything without cheese in it from bb it seems.

I've always thought cheese was potent smoke that always smelled and tasted shit. Kind of like a true hash plant. Gets you stoned, just a terrible experience getting there lol.

My thoughts exactly. The only cheeses I've grown are dinafem deep cheese and bomb cheese. The smell is loud. To the point that a second carbon filter was needed to contain smell.

Good smoke for sure but I don't think I'll ever grow cheese strains again.

I've had two power outages while running those. When the scrubbers quit, within a hour the whole house reeked. If that happened in a densely populated area it would draw a lot of attention.

Yeah not really the smell I'm going for either. If it's Loud I want it to smell like fruit or gasoline. The straight skunk or cheese smells are just not my favorite.

Its called phenotype. No matter how well a breeder does you can always have the oddball.

Noticed I said one of the c99 I grew was not loud, the others had some dank undertones.

I got one now that doesn't resemble c99 at all.

It happens.

I grew up smoking the road kill and red hair skunks that were on the east coast in the 80's and 90's.

I'm a big fan of skunk I just don't like the risk to stealth they bring.

I've got various seeds I saved from those bags growing up. I thought if it went legal here I would start hunting through them.

I have a few skunk #1 seeds sitting around I plan on using for breeding. Skunk is potent, loud, and tasty. Great strain for breeding. Just not my preference on its own. There's a few strains I like the effects of but not the flavor.

Nice! That what mine looked like outdoors but the leaves were a little thinner.

This is the indoor c99 that was different.

Looks like it fills out a bit better inside. I got Thai sticks lol. I have 2 more seeds i may try out inside seeing how yours did in vs out. Mine wouldn't have worked as an indoor plant the way it grew. Unless I had 10' ceiling. She stretched a lot. Yielded to match though. Nugs the size of my forearms.

I fell in love with the Herbie's freebie Hawaiian skunk haze. Seedsman breed it. Smelled like a skunk humped a banana with a pineapple watching. It went 16 weeks and could of went longer.

They don't carry them anymore. They do have Hawaiian skunk. It is good.

@HydroRed have you tried or looked at cherry bomb or berry bomb?

I've grown a few strains from them and all the gear was consistent with breeder specs.

@Gary Goodson is growing some cherry bomb and said it was very cherry.

There is a screen you can't see under there. I scrogged it. I kept tucking even after stretch.

Ah. That makes more sense. I love sativas for yield. But the stretch and flowering time kind of doesn't work with my grow style and I grow mostly indica/indica Dom strains so I never really focused on sativas. The ssh X haze cross I'm running right now looks awesome, it just grew taller then my tent so I had to bend all of its branches to about half their actual size lol.

@whitebb2727 Never run a fruity other than a blueberry from an unknown breeder. Blueberry undertones you really had to search for when smoking. The next fruit I grow needs to be a "HERE I AM" kinda flavor rather than a "come and find me" one. Strongest flavor profile of fruit I've ever had was a mango my buddy had years ago. Loooked like shwags but had a very intense tropical mango taste. Unsure of the breeder & I didnt ask because of the way it looked haha. I dont remember the stone being very memorable either.

With sativa's, especially pure ones, you got to go 12/12 from the start or they become beasts.

Does it make a difference if it is indica or sativa?

I would strongly recommend the c99. It is in your face fruit. You may get some skunk undertones but the fruit is dominant.

I like it so much I ordered more from female seeds and order a pack from blimburn seeds.
