I'm beginning to wonder what other game-changing tricks you have up your sleeve Frenchy

And for thetrickstergod- nice to see somebody who has an obvious forward thinking enterprising mind-set. I do believe it's highly likely that certain "other-than-ancillary" cannabusiness start-ups will be pursuing such endeavors, since the largest hurdles in that arena are 1. funding and 2. technical expertise. This is be a very interesting industry once the venture funnel opens to cannabis-based businesses.
Me too !!!

Spoken like the true Californian (respectfully speaking as I was born and bred there as well.)

here in Nevada:
  • The stumbling block is the state county and profit minded assholes that have the entire thing strangle held.
  • Here anyone who has anything wont fuck with it because they don't want to risk losing everything.
  • V/Cs wont touch it as they can make more with less risk elsewhere.

My intention is to use 80% literally Ice cold water 20% ice to make the sandwich hydrate the trims for 15 minutes run the machine for 1 or 2 minutes on the first wash drain and proceed with the rinsing technique and de bag. then just add water again Ice cold in a similar amount to the remaining ice and run for 5 min drain rinse.

I cant remember if we did any wash for more than 5-6 minutes during the seminar maybe 10 at most.
I hardly go over 7-9 minutes with dry material and just a little longer with fresh

what an eye!!

this pic was the first press I folded it up and pressed it once more.

the resin melted so easily I didnt think I needed to press it a 3rd time.

ran the boldt bags and machine for first time tonight. a really slick set up for sure

speeds up the process a bit too much

although Im sure Ill catch up and will do the drain mod for sure

(yes I spilled some juice right off that bat.):o

looks like Ill have a nice chunk to work with this time though

been trying to contact Boldtbags for around 2 weeks for the balance of my order and because the stitching at the top of the 160 bag is coming apart

Sadly I haven't gotten a return e mail and the phone has been busy the last 2 days.

is there any problem over there that someone knows about.

Frenchy what do you use the 160 micron resin for that you catch? Do you use it for cooking? Or do you press it with the full spectrum that you catch in the 45 micron? And same goes for the 25u do you press it individually or as part of the full spectrum? And with your full spectrum hash does it leave any residue when dabbing?

I use the 160 for my spliff, really nice mixed with flowers. I hardly get any 25 microns because the growers I work with never short cut flowering time. 25 microns show non mature trichomes. The best as recognized by most is between 70 and 120.

25 microns is where the mature trichomes are? I figured it would have been the opposite. This is the 25 u sour Tangie pressed but it's the only one I could get to come out pressing this nice. I'm still refining my tech the more I learn, But so far all my 25 micron bags have been the most melty even the indica dominant strains

Sorry I meant not mature and made an edit. The fact that the 25 does not press well is due to the little amount of resin formed in the resin heads

heres some pics of the resin in post 4710 which I pressed yesterday it sat in powder for 2 days at 45F @ 40 some odd humidity then 4 day at 72F 2 30 some odd humidity then 7 days in a semi air tight enclosure @ that same temp and humidity.

this was washed 4 times with my new machine and a 4oz load produced 10.25g from the 159-73 micron, 1.5g from the 72-45 micron and the 25 micron caught another 1.5 gram

First light press 100_1749.JPG

second was much more thorough pressing 100_1753.JPG

Do you think it needs more ?

end shot 30X 100_1758.JPG

a sample of the previous separation which I hand stirred was given to a buddy of mine who is the director of processing at a large MME out here and in CA who also has some cup placings for his extractions. "He comment was really nice and most enjoyable" (I also provided him with some flower samples from my patient grow)

Looks like I'm finally catching on to this methodology.

Thanks to everyone here and esp to Frenchy and Mohican for you help in steepening my learning curve.

Aficionado White Cashmere Full spectrum, the resin was sieved and collected during my last workshop in SF, it was micro planned and dried to perfection by a student and the hand press was successful as you can see

Blood Drive full spectrum, check Weed World issue 118 The Dank Duchess did a smoke report on it. If you have anxiety problem, this is your strain
