hee hee I use leather gloves on hot stuff.otherwise the surgical ones.

Plus seeing someone bare hand someone elses medicine is just... I dont know , Unprofessional?

Once I was going to purchase some really fab herb at a cup but when I saw them running hands through it... NOT!!

I mean WTF right?

if course you have to hand roll a fatty but hands can always be cleaned BMWOT
I don't make medicine my friend, I make potent Hashish that can be used as a medicine.

sorry for the quality of the pics I am having some difficulty with my camera ..
that being said here is a few pics from the pressing trial I did last night using the methodology demonstrated by Frenchy Cannoli in his you tube video series.

here is the raw material it is comprised of 120. 73 and the first wash of the 45 micron from the pervious palette pictured. it weighs about 8grams

following this is the result of the first press

this next pic is of the result of pressing with a bottle at the temperatures recommended by this threads host above ( in this thread)

View attachment 3464848

here is a pic of the product after the second repressingView attachment 3464850

and finally a pic of the product after it has cooled (and mainly for color contrastView attachment 3464853

smell is awesone even after allowing to cool to 76 f it does seem to be a bit hard at that temperature.

I small .2g sample was given to a frequent user of C4H10 extracted resin who wishes to go natural. the result in titanium nail was a nearly full melt with only a hint of residue.

the initial comment was " it got me stoned as fuck" ...

I will preform a lighter test on the product later in the week.

any discussions comments and constructive criticisms are welcome and encouraged
Bravo is all I can say. It looks totally OUH LA LA and must taste it too.

Thank You Sir

the next palette is from mostly cured Blue Dream buds. the resin is much more aromatic and darker.

of course there is alot more of it . it was washed 7 times

it should make something really fine Im hoping.

pics upcoming.

and a pic from palette #2

100_1630.JPG

in the center of the top picture is the 73 micron from palette #1 below on the left is the 73 micron from palette #2 (along with washes 6&7, bottom right and washes 1&2 of the 120micron top right.

the first run being from mostly sugar leaf trim and the second from mostly under Buds.

I was surprised how much darker the 73 micron product from palette 2 is in comparison to that of palette 1.

However I was more surprised how dark the 2nd 45 micron samples are from the first.

100_1633.JPG

with the top left being the 45 in palette #1 and the bottom right in palette #2 also being 45 but much much darker

also the opposite occurring with the 160 micron top right palette 1 and bottom left on palette #2.

both these sample were taken from the same two or three plants which are clones from the same mother.

the only other difference is palette 1 was basically kept in the fridge set below normal temperature wise al of the time and palette two didn't go into the fridge until maybe 2 hours after.

both the runs were completed before they went into the fridge.

Im thinking next run the product and all future runs will be kept in the fridge during the drying time.

do you folks agree with this idea?

as always comments suggestions welcomed.

Thanks

what are the key characterizations of over pressing?

Ive stored a piece at 76f and low humidity less than 30% burping it twice daily for 2 weeks.

IT has become hard perhaps even described as brittle and last night I snapped the end off of it. it immediately crumbled.

after a bit of doing (20 min or so ) I was able to hand press the crumbles into a dime sized coin but then crumbled when I folded it.

today I let it warm outside at about 100 degrees and Hand pressed it again and was able to fold it w/o crumbling.

now that it has been stored inside its jar at 76f it cracks as its folded.

here is a pic of both pieces .

does this look satisfactory?

it bubbles off nicely and smells truly100_1642.JPG intoxicating when warmed by flame or hand.

I had a question on if there is enough heat from your hands or the wine bottle even to actually fully decarb the hash. As you said it's probably about 200 degrees for the wine bottle after the glass buffer zone. If thca decarbs closer to 240-250 ? If u could elaborate that'd b great. Also I just tried your technique on a gram of keif in the smell is amazing I've been making feco until I read this thread the French sure now taste and smell. Just look at the food there lol.

Drying in a fridge is a good alternate solution however I am not sure about below normal temperature

A little humidity was left when you pressed the resin and it change the texture of the resin without loosing ant or much of the terpenes and potency. The fact that you could repress it with a little heat shows that very little humidity was left. The two weeks burping made sure that you would avoid mold and degradation due to the humidity left

I do not want to fully decarb, I am looking for the 40 to 50% range. When you get around 60 to 70% decarboxylation the transformation of the THC into CBN is faster than the transformation of the THCA into THC. The higher the temperature the faster the decree to a point. It is all about terpenes as medicine and the joy of the waste buds, very French for sure
