Thanks for all your information on Ice Water Kiefing.
Approximately what temperature ( or temperature range) is the water in your pressing bottle ?
I noticed that you are handling it with only sterile gloves rather than leather or mitts in your youtube videos So I know its not freshly boiled.(or you have one heck of a pain threshold.

could the " The bulbous type is the smallest 15-30 um" be the source of the odor of the water after 25um wet sieving more so than that resulting from the leaching from other trichromes?

I washed 1/4# of blue dream trim using the ice water method from frenchy's you tube video.
I hand stirred this for about 10 min per wash and this is the palette I drew off.
this 12g batch has been drying for almost 5 days at 76f and approx 30% humidity.
AM I on the right track?
left top is 45um. 2nd & 3rd wash are directly below
center is 73um all washes
right is 160um with 120 um below

Yes that is my intention.
did a small test and came back with just the slightest white ash
hand pressed 0.2g and it came back as a nice dark worm.
will be moving forward toward a cured nug run sometime soon

Thee water boil at 220, by the time I feel up the bottle and with the buffering of the glass it must be around 200Mr. Cannoli,

I'm going to press it tonight using the method from your you tube videos.
Incidentally and sadly those from your channel have been taken down or are otherwise unavailable via that medium.
However I took the opportunity to watch then all intently several times each over the last few weeks and inasmuch feel much more confident in my ability to adequately perform the task successfully.

PS the palette is looking gorgeous and smelling wonderfully

tell me about it... But those were the days we didnt call it medicine we called it weed.
I remember getting rainbow Oaxacan back in the day with chapulines in it.
Once, I think it was like 78 we found some hash covered with sand in the bottom of a QP of Colombian gold.
and guess what happened ?
I guess we are spoiled these days but we have hep-c and HIV and all that crap to worry about too..., Soo....

sorry for the quality of the pics I am having some difficulty with my camera ..
that being said here is a few pics from the pressing trial I did last night using the methodology demonstrated by Frenchy Cannoli in his you tube video series.
here is the raw material it is comprised of 120. 73 and the first wash of the 45 micron from the pervious palette pictured. it weighs about 8grams
following this is the result of the first press
this next pic is of the result of pressing with a bottle at the temperatures recommended by this threads host above ( in this thread)
here is a pic of the product after the second repressing
and finally a pic of the product after it has cooled (and mainly for color contrast
smell is awesone even after allowing to cool to 76 f it does seem to be a bit hard at that temperature.
I small .2g sample was given to a frequent user of C4H10 extracted resin who wishes to go natural. the result in titanium nail was a nearly full melt with only a hint of residue.
the initial comment was " it got me stoned as fuck" ...
I will preform a lighter test on the product later in the week.
any discussions comments and constructive criticisms are welcome and encouraged
