week 6 completed of flower (41 days to be exact)
this Donkey Kong strain has very little information online and the seed store that sold them is out of buisness here in oregon ( I think the state shut them down), so I have no idea of flower time, but they look like they need at least 3 more weeks ( 9 weeks flower), buds are building, but trichrome productiion has not kicked into high gear yet,, so this may be a 9 or 10 week strain?,,, View attachment 3499024View attachment 3499025 View attachment 3499026 View attachment 3499027 View attachment 3499029 View attachment 3499030 View attachment 3499031
Are they calmag whores? Lol nice one man, you've been banging out harvest ever since you signed up it seems. As far as the spider mites go, its easy to kill em off right then and there and wait for the next wave to kill, but the most effective way for me was to treat my empty closet/cabs with a strong miticide and work your way out the house from room to room then repeat with bleach and water (took me 3 weeks) now the bastards wont even go inside lol. Then preventitive sprays as long as you can untill flowers form.If they still make it into your grow, then those suckers were extremly dedicated.

I kinda laughed when my canada friend found the donkey kong strain information for me, I didnt realize I was growing a sativa dom strain,, duh on me,, hahha, so ya it makes sense that they look like they do , you can see the fert burns in some of the leaves, they really improved once that was figured out, kinda glad, should be really good smoke,
thanks for the mite info, for sure I will have to proceed with a plan on future grows, did allot of reading and learning the past couple of weeks on the subject, as well as soils and organic soils,
still trying to decide on doing hydro or soil on future grows,

lol, thats funny man, nope its just 104 watts of cxa cobs, had a few bumps along the way, but I didnt kill them, hahaha, if I harvest any place close to 1 gram per watt, Ill be a happy camper, that will keep me while I upgrade the box and wire up a few more cobs, also the box is getting moved over next to a window for venting out of the house on the next grow

@Tim Fox did you notice something about nutes?
Is there any specific needs under cob in your opinion?
Thanks
Dude, I wish I could tell you I have it figured out, but what I can say is there are many people here on Riu that are finding the new batches of Fox Farms Ocean Forrest is running HOT, and I waited the 4 weeks from transplant before I started adding nutes, and Bam all hell broke loose, now I was adding nutes very light, I was even testing them with my meters at 1/4 strength and the Total disolved solids were reading 335 to 400, and I got nute burn and nitrogen tox real fast, some say I went wrong by feeding 1/4 strength nutes 3 feedings in a row, but with soil by the time you see an issue its kinda too late , my other problem and this was pointed out to me at the start is that i had now way of flushing the soil, that may have helped,
Alright with all that said, I am temped to do as some others do on here and either run a grow in ffof with water only , of course transplant before you go into flower if you can so the plants go into fresh soil into thier final containers, I have found several threads where guys are making organic soil mixes and using water only start to finish, water only guys get a bad rap at times, but when I added nutes things F**** up big time, and before i did the plants were healthy as hell, you can see it in the pictures, some are saying that ffof was remixed to be a start to finish potting soil????
so I have to decide in the next few weeks if I am going to try another soil run,, or switch to hydro,, i have everything I need to try a flood drain,, but gosh soil is so easy other wise

Bonjour
Thanks a lot for sharing your experience...every informations are good to take!
You lucky US guys...fox farm ocean...bag soil who can burn plant...a dream for a French grower!!! lol
I only have access to Plagron batmix/Biobizz all and light mix and Canna biomix and Ugro coco thats it.!
If you compare the composition of ingredients...there's more than half less than in ffo...and no access to them unless I pay crazy amounts of $$$$ for shipping.
I would love to try super soil...and add tap water. One day I will...but 230 $ only for shipping(subcool supersoil!)...ouch my balls! And carbon footprint!?? Bad karma for me...lol.does it worth it?!?
Have a great day ★

57 days flower, Leaves are giving all they have to the buds, trichromes still clear, the nute burn / nitrogen tox a few weeks ago effected the overall grow, also such a small wattage grow light, but combined its having a limited effect, but i took a good look around this morning,, there is no bud rot and no insects to be seen, so we are clear to ride it till the leaves either fall completly off or the trichromes say its ok to cut down,, we are going 9 weeks at least at this time, more if needed or it can,, anyways heres some pics,,

the buds are hanging in there, I am sure they are smaller than they would have been,, just looking at jimyindicas grow under 2 small vero cobs and he harvested 182 grams just now,
but my buds are going to smoke and make some good butter for me , and should last me till i get the grow cab moved and upgraded , rearranging the whole fan vent system,, going to have the ablilty to vent out the window !! and going hydro ,

Yeah jimmy has consistently impressed me.
Nothing you can Change now with that grow so adding more might be worse. Also if you're at about a week or two left you should just be running PHd water....or just water if you believe your dirt will fix any ph problem, right?
Looks damn good production to me especially with your problems.
