Strain: The Flav from TGA Subcool Seeds
Growth: topped and vegged till 3 feet then put into flower
Nutes: Pura Vida Grow & Bloom
Yield: Large, I don't weigh but Large
Bag Appeal: beautiful crystally off green nugs.
Smell: Sour Funkenstein. it starts off sweet then ends with a sour funk you would expect from something like Sour Diesel but funkier.
Taste: Coats the mouth with the sweet sour funk
The High: I love the high of The FLav which is why I grew it a second time. I'll toke 2 bongloads now and try to explain the high.
The high is bright and awake despite being stoney and comfortable. I know that sounds contradictory but what do you expect with hybrids. Instead of my eyes feeling like they are sinking deeper in my head as is with most strains, I feel like my eyes are pushing foward and that everything is brighter and more shiney or glossy visually. Great sense of well being and happiness, I get no paranoia from this pheno. The world becomes much more cartoony and happy, it is strong stuff but not in the way you expect with most strains. Overall I love this high soo much and i'm glad it was a big yield so I can enjoy this high for a long time to come.
Comments: I originally grew this strain summer of 2010 ( my first year growing ) upon recommendation by an online grower/smoker. I grew it among many other strains. The flav was the strain that myself and my card carrying friends flocked to to smoke. Its flavor at the time was just like sweet cotton candy which coated the throat. Whereas other strians had a musky, earthy, or otherwise piney flavor, this Flav had somethign like candy. We couldn't get enough and it ran out too quick because being a new grower I didn't get big yields yet.
Cut to summer 2011 I pop 2 Flav beans and decide to get that great weed back. 2 phenos, one closer to the cotton candy from before, but this second bigger yielding pheno is the one I love. I didn't get this pheno the first time and my god, its like they lay out a layer of the cotton candy I remember, but then overlay it with a sour funky finish thats loud and proud. My guess is this is a heaveir romulan pheno. I am so stoked as this high started off very cartoony but now its starting to get heavy. Those two bowls are making everything go into slow motion and relaxation making typing this very sentence an exercise of extreme will. More indica heavy than the other pheno this one is a knockout with a lightshow for the mind. The words High and Stoned meet perfectly with this strain and both are present with the gifts of their thc profile. Great strain for creativity or watching a movie or doing art or playing a video game.
I'm very relaxed right now and I feel no pain or nausea. Great for digestive issues! Will cure digestive issues within 5 minutes of bongload.
I seeded this girl with a male Elephant Bud so it will be great to see how those highs mix. Hopefully this adds some of this suggary sour funk to that high thc of elephant.
