You must be looking at an old statistic, California leads the nation in food stamp recipients. Also bear in mind, Texas has only about 100,000 people on welfare where California has 1.5million. California's unemployment rate is 10.7%, Texas 7.2%

Texas is by far in much better shape than California.
Look at the debt clock link then select Texas. Texas 4,120,666 California 4,083,248

So there's 1.5million on welfare better those federal funds comeback here than go to redstates.

California is probably the most fucked up state in the country, 40 years of proof that liberal run governments are an epic failure.


Yeah, never mind that it has the largest economy of any state in the Union. I thought you guys lauded that sort of thing.

48 of those 50 states are all on the path to bankruptcy, Only Alaska and North Dakota spend less than they bring in.
