well depends, some people say using dry ice to drop the temp in a sleeve is dewaxing, I just call it getting your shit really cold to lock up extract bullshit. By my definition no I do not dewax, I have a 2-5 micron buchnur funnel mostly for washing crappy extracts or my reclaim. After I started using dry ice in the deep freezer whenever I winterized using that method there wasn't much in my filter not enough to justify doing it.

after I pack my tubes I freeze them, my theory is it locks up extract fats waxes and lipids not all but a lot more the and a pack and blast.
and no I do not let it sit under pressure

hey twitch.. you ever run a super high terpene strain.. and get a almost honeycomb.. but its really greasy like brown sugar consistency with a greasy feel to it.. but stinks to high heaven and tastes amazing.. ?

its from 10 day dried material.. right after the chop.. dried 10 days.. then packed.. frozen.. and blown . ill take a pic when I get a chance.. just wanted to know.. what you think of the brown sugar consistency stuff.. I think its mainly terpenes keeping it from being a straight crumble honeycomb.

I've gotten a texture like brown suger mixed with honey before that smelled and tasted super strong. I made a batch like that last week actually. It was dleicious, I've only got a little left.

yes that was the run I put in my oven and I was bitching about because it waxed up almost immediately at 105, I personally love it but the people want glass shatter... but yes I know exactly what you are talking about, the way to describe it is brown sugar left out on a hot humid Texas day.

I didnt post pics of the brown sugar becuase of the stigma people say it looks like baby poop and all i did was put it in everclear poured through a filter and evaporated till it was goo and put that in the oven and it looks like this.

I can not understand some peoples attitude of only wanting one texture or the other to dab. I've encountered people that only dabbed wax, "comb", or whatever they choose to call it, and didn't like shatter. Then on the flip side I"ve encountered people that only dabbed shatter and look down on waxed products. I've had both that were outstanding, and that were crap it wasn't about the texture it was about the material and process. Personally I like some variety in life .

yup.. if u look at my posts like a year or two ago.. you will see me saying if it don't shatter it don't matter..

now.. I know better..

because ive had some horrible shatter.. and some horrible wax.. and some great shatter and great wax..

I just don't like how the consistencies get labeled differently in different groups..

can you guys post a picture of what you would call.. honeycomb.. wax.. or budder.. ?

because some of the people ive been dabbing with call what I call honeycomb .. budder.. and vice versa.. I just don't get why its such a huge deal. lol.

for me.. I did a run of nugs.. straight trimmed nugs.. as I sell my trim runs at a much lower price for the people who want shatter....

my nug runs fresh frozen directly after dry.. come out that sugary waxy like u can see the terpene juices on the parchment..

I tried to tell my boy ill winterize it. but u will lose flavor.. I personally like whatever fucks me up.. and tastes good while doing it .

ive also heard people calling taffy like shatter. that has the bubble holes from the purge.. honeycomb.. which I thought was retarded. lol .

like for me.. between a shatter and a sap.. there is a taffy like product..

sap.. for me is like decarbed consistency like watery.

twitch you have an amazing product love the extract porn your always posting.... what do you purge your winterized stuff at..

last time I winterized with everclear I got a weird product.. it was shatter.. but it had like no smell and taste I lost it all at 115. and I was pissed.. and the product before winterizing was amazingly tasty..

but ya.. I call shatter.. the rock hard breaks up to 90-100 degrees. like still hold able breaks..

then you got taffy.. the stuff between shatter and a sap.. will shatter in cold temps will be kinda soft a higher temps...


im confused with budder.. wax.. nectar.. and wat we should call the sugar wet product from nug runs.

its just crazy.. because ive had some strains depending on when I pull them down . later harvest date or earlier harvest date can completely change the consistency of the extract..

ive noticed winterized products are easier to call .. because usually its a sappier product or shatter... sometimes a taffy.. but its usually more consistent..
