So the highest ( not messed up, HIGH) I ever got was from Mexican pot back in the 70's. Unknown kind but probably Michoacan brown. We were smoking two kinds one of which I already had and maybe 4 big joints going around 6 people. My stuff was just commercial but still psychedelic by comparison to what I grow today.
I found out later that the high was not from my pot but too late to get any more of the psychedelic stuff. I had never seen the guys with the Michoacan? before or after. I later tried to get Colombian, Lebanon hash and later skunk and cali stuff as that was the hype back then, not realizing that they would not get me where I was with that brown schwaggy looking stuff.
Later I tried pcp and that was nothing like that early high, so no they did not treat their pot with that. Shrooms were close to that high but not quite. Acid was way out there but not beautiful like the pot high was.
That high made trees, people and other organic stuff look like plastic or wax, the colors were so intense is what I am trying to say. Felt as though I had stepped into a painting. I merged with my surroundings (depersonalization), everything was just just totally unreal but I did not see things that were not there. I almost never did with acid or shrooms either so....
The trip started a few minutes after smoking and lasted maybe 20 minutes with another hour and a half of standard if strong buzz. The first strong tripping part had me feeling like my heart was gonna burst, so a big rush with the trip. I am sure part of it was I was young and only smoking a year, and we had joints going around like a merry go round.
I am growing out what I can of Mexican seeds from seed banks and seeing if I can recreate that magic. Shrooms and acid are out for me now, so this is it if I want to trip. Not gonna ever do acid again, bad trips happened. Not gonna grow shrooms, 6 hours tripping is too long and the legal problems. I understand that things happen when you are young but this was way out there, far above what any other pot or hash did, and even above the shrooms a little.
I would not want to trip like that often but once in a while seems like it would add to life which can become dull and predictable. Even half of that intensity would be enough. This is not a pot section but damn that was the trip of a lifetime for me, hopefully not the last though.
