The Church, Mazari Super Space Hydro Grow

Hi Everybody! Hello old friends and bubbleheads alike. My name is Ray Fox and today I'm here again with a brand new grow journal :weed: (Refer to my old ones below for more info)

I am a hydro grower and plant lover  and for this round I'm doing The Church from Greenhouse seeds and two Mazari from Seedsman seeds. I chose them for their hard hitting Indica/Sativa combos (my preference), each possessing a nice skunk mix for that extra weight and flavour. :leaf::leaf::leaf:

What makes my grow unique is the space I use - Small. And in the guidance of several previous RIU growers (tooo many to name and properly give credit outside of my journals), I have tried to utilize their techniques to grow a sizeably producing and tasty bud in a small, enclosed - but sufficient!- area. It can be done. And anyone is please welcome to leave suggestions, comments, RIU love, and any general good wills and wishes! Or just stop by and say hi. Okay. That's enough of an introduction :blsmoke: Mostly this is just my way of saying Hello. :bigjoint:

Pics coming soon. Waiting for deep water rootage to kick in growth. In the meantime here are some specs: Standard 10 gallon grow tub. Using the Dual Spectrum II CFL lights from Stealth which delivers 8500 lumens + 3 regular 60 watt CFLs which deliver a combined 11,520 lumens = a grand total of 20,020 lumens. :weed:

Shot of the girls below @ two weeks from seed. The yellowing is from having the lights too low but that was quickly taken care of and they're coming along fine.

Here's a slightly more recent shot IMAG1352.jpg

The Church still going slowly.. I'll expand on my problem with Greenhouse Seeds later on as it develops, but I heard about Greenhouse's notorious sloppiness and they were right. Two of my five seeds did not even sprout! Still looking forward to see how it looks in flower though, the genetics are supposed to be real stable.

Hey All, Here's a pic of the veg. The large ones in the center and on the right are the Mazari :leaf::leaf:, the small one of the left is still the Church. Just topped the little guy today :leaf:. They look great, going to 12/12 soon. :mrgreen:IMAG1363-1.jpgIMAG1361-1.jpg

Looking good so far. I'll be watching. Growing church myself. Also a small grow. May I recommend a scrog to help increase the yield with a small space.

Hey all here's some shots of the girls after being switched to flower for two days. Coming along great :weed:. Gonna let the veg nutes go before doing a flush and switching to flowering nutes :-o The Church is still the runt of the 3, but i've topped all of them and I think another week will make all the difference:leaf::leaf::leaf: :bigjoint:IMAG1410.jpgIMAG1412.jpgIMAG1411.jpg

Rayishungry - We have a similar alias! I did a scrog for my first grow and frankly just did not want to build the encasement necessary for a scrog. I do a lot of training to even space for three plants.

So basically here's my problem with Greenhouse seeds and The Church strain. Greenhouse just doesn't care about their seeds. Their packaging is crap, and 3 of the 5 did not even sprout! Apparently its pretty common for them! :wall: Greenhouse is also notorious for bombarding the market with expensive hype tactics in order to promote old strains they kept from growers they fired ages ago. So why am I growing The Church? It's "stable", and actually genetically similar to the Mazari. Both the Mazari and the Church are part skunk for size boost, and have a strong indica lineage. But otherwise the Church is a genetic mess, skunk and northern lights with part sativa... sure it's stable and resistant to many grow problems but that's why I got the Mazari too, stick with a classic. All I can say is... let's see what happens shall we? :weed: :peace:

Oh! And to any newbies or oldbies following this thread, I was mentored by a number of great growers, but namely Roseman. He is the man who essentially perfected the whole bubbleponics, ultra fast, compact hydro grow and to whom I'm indebted and without whom I would be nowhere today. Quick shout out to PurpDaddy, Easygrinder, MostlyCrazy & Jigfresh! and RIU love to all my new followers on this thread :leaf::leaf::leaf:. You know who you guys are :bigjoint:

Looking great. And for those wondering, RayFox keeps his plants compact (not small) by keeping lights as low as possible reducing long lanky plants.
