The BioCanna Nutes and BioTerra "soil" thread

Im concerned about overwatering as this soil retains sooo much, as long as i let it dry out nicely first it shouldn't be a problem

I think ill just dig down the edge of the pot with a knife to check how dry it is at the middle/bottom of the pot a few days after a big water/feed

i'm gonna mix my canna with FFOF maybe 2/3 canna and 1/3 FFOF.. I was feeling the same thing about this dirt when I put in two clones, heavey dirt.

I took down my grow & gave my plant away, im planning to move to BC and can't risk getting a criminal record preventing me from living in Canada, sucks, but in the long run its gonna be worth it, sorry i can't update on the bio-canna nutrients...

Damn, I've love to move to Europe or maybe Canada...but I'd want to wait until my grow is done first! That sucks dude, good luck with your move though! You'll get health care!

I am using 2-3x recommended dosage of Bioflores on my 4-5 week plants. They still want more! I feed them every other day on some and every day on some! This is getting expensive hahahahaha

are you serious? the guys at the grow shop said to feed a little heavy but that seems like a lot. how big are your plants? yea--that will be crazy expensive. are you feeding your boost that way too? that shit is like $125 for a liter here, thats already bad enough.

My plants are quite enormous, at least the ones sucking that much nutes. Probably 5-6 foot tall in 5 or 7 gallon smart pots with the Bioterra. and yeah I'm using about 20-25 ml of boost per gallon. I am also feeding every day or every other day. It's about 420 for a 5 liter bottle of the bioboost here. I think I'm going to switch to the regular terra line after this grow and do Bio for my personals. Shit is just getting rediculously expensive.

yea. i love my plants and want the best for them but i don't know if i would be willing to spend that much money. how long have you been using the biocanna line? i am on my very first grow and i am about two weeks from harvest. i can't wait. its looking incredible. better than i expected especially considering my inexperience.

the guy at my shop says the trade off between the terra and the biocanna lines is in yield and taste. he says he uses the terra to achieve a little more yield than from the bio line. but the terra doesn't bring out the flavor as much as the bio seems to.

he also said the terra line is actually organic under the standards used in the united states. however in europe they have more strict standards about what is considered organic so the bio canna is necessary to call your grow completely organic.

all i know is canna has made a believer out of me and i will be a repeat customer. in fact, some much more experienced growers have seen my set up and have begun looking into canna as well. they almost can't believe the results.

Yeah I'm very pleased with the results. This is my first time doing soil non the less biocanna. Ive done hydro a few times and I'm still on the fence until this crop is done. It is just expensive, really expensive. Great results though. I'm having to stake and tie up every single one of my plants now because they are to heavy to support themselves. Says something.

yea, in the last couple weeks i have had to brace my plants because the buds are getting so heavy too. and this even though their stems are seriously thick as hell.

have you noticed your plants finishing earlier using the bioboost? i have heard about plants finishing a week and a half earlier using the regular boost but haven't seen anything about the organic stuff.

Honestly yes, I am seeing my plants finish way faster. Like my GDP and AK should be 8 week on the 25th of this month. I'm already flushing them.

If your mix is a little heavy cut it with some perlite to loosing it up a bit. I ran my canna 50%/50% small perlite with 1" of big chunk perlite in the bottom for drainage. You will have to feed and water more often but I guarantee you will not mind after you weight your dried harvest...
note:1. The best results from PK 13/14 come from only using it once with plain R/O water at the begging of week 5.

2. Don't overfeed your plants in flowering, just use the recommended dose. Beneficials fungi and bacteria hate high nute loads and will only minimize bud production. Trichoderma beneficials assimilate phosphorus and nutes so less is needed and more productive. 650 ppms in veg/ 850 ppms in flower----if your close to those numbers your plants will thrive and produce the maximum amount of bud. Different strains will slightly vary but those numbers should be your base...

Its impossible to determine PPM with the BIOcanna line because its organic. And your saying its better to let you plant lose fan leaves from the bottom to the top in flowering due to deficiency than give them more than recommended nutes to solve this problem?? I've been pumping them with nute's way more than recommended cause of deficiency when I was going by the chart Canna gives. I have plants with tops connected longer than my arm and as thick/thicker than a 2 liter coke bottle. Talk about elephant cocks.

I got some bad deficiencies with biocanna aswell, you gotta be very generous with these nutes i reckon
At first i thought i was overnuting, but i was definately undernuting... next feeds gonna be a big one!

Gonna add some liquid bat guano in the mix, yummy!
Anyone know how this stuff mixes with biocanna?
(Liquid extract taste improver/guanokalong)

Also, anyone tested going nuts with the bioboost?
I got a spare bottle thats gonna go off by next grow so i might aswell use it, its a metbolism booster so no chance of overnuting...

MOTHERFUCK ROLL IT UP I JUST WROTE THE LONGEST Critical Organic Optimum process of growing and all for it to say I was not loggin in in which I FUCKING WAS FUCK THAT I guess every will just have to wait to see my process thro Hightimes.

BIOboost is second to none. I use it all the way til chop from week 2 of flowering.
Do you stick to 4ml/ltr for bioboost or do you go a bit nuts withit?

Id highly recommend liquid guano extract alongside biocanna, it works really well, the plant i used lots of guano on really swelled up nice

I actually use about 16-20ml of bioboost along with my Flores and Cannazym and a splash of rhizo for good measure. I'm starting to ween off the flores and am just adding bioboost and cannazym for the last week or 2.

BioBoost 16-20ml must be per gallon right?
Not sure about using the zyme for the last weeks, i heard you back off the zymes at least 3 weeks from harvest...
