I also failed. Have this training programme + upcoming interview to go to for a job .. so wanted to look a bit less hobo for a few weeks. Though I'll be back. Plus it seems beards are really in at the company, I would estimate at least 75% beardage.

There's a guy in my training class who has the bushiest ginger beard I have seen in real life, and he has to say the word "beardatude" at least 5 times a day.. usually in the context of positive employability traits.
I just hope you havn't removed the one thing that would have got you the job for sure. What if the interviewer is thinking 'Who the hell did that baldy face think he was, coming for an interview at Beard Co. with his chin showing...?'

Fingers crossed buddy...

Honestly, that chin-titan is something to behold. I alway get sick of mine and it goes back to being just a face-sock.
I don't know if i've got what it takes, but you inspire me, sir. I'm gonna give it a try.
Im on the same page except mine itches and i usually just shave it all off and let it grow for a while again. I do have a badass razor though so I do like to use it sometimes.

That is a fine old razor. None of that 'quadbladed safety bar with wings' bollocks. I havn't put steel to my face for maybe 14 years. Just a set of clippers to take it back down.
I find the top lip ghe most challenging bit! Tickly fucker, anc after i get in there, i tend to stray outwards towards the rest of it...
Before i had clippers when i was a pup, i used to keep things in order with scissors. Maybe i'll go back to basics with a set of sharp snips...?

I use clippers with a sliding adjustable length thingy. I usually start at 3 or4 on the sideburns, then increase by 1 grade and move down in sections. Usually does the trick.
Might work better to start at the jaw line with the length you want (6 or 7) then move up an inch or so each time lowering the grader. Then flush twice and add ca/lmag

If you've no clippers i guess you'll have to go steady with your trimming scissors. Just use the tips and set aside an hour of your life to achieve beardular perfection.

Beards Log

Beard date 071414

I trimmed the beards in accordance with captain Growan's orders it seems to be filling out nicely on the chins, I think this is one of my first successful trims at this length will continue until it blows in the wind.

I just trimmed my beard and the setting was too low and now I immediately regret it. :(
It seems like there's only a short window where my beard looks good before it starts to look disheveled
If ye would have followed yer captains advise ye would have eased down on yer blades before cuttin. remember in the beard thar do be monsters

Ar, tis just so, lads. Thought the blades be your allies, their treachery lies hidden barely a grade beneath the surface of the beard. Just one pass too many with the Fickle Clippers of Trim, and ye be ending up sporting the chin of a juvenile cabin boy's concubine of a sister. And ye wouldn't be wantin that, now. Savvy?
