Went shoppin' at my buddy's house.. he took way too many clones so he gave me 15 assorted.. he's not sure exactly what is what but they're a mix of blueberry haze and diesel clones mostly. And ONE CBH clone, since I didn't get a female from the two I sprouted. That'll be a new mother for now. He also gave me a Nor'Easter mother plant, which I'm psyched about as that was probably my favorite pull from this past crop. I'll be taking a bunch of clones of her in a little bit here tonight as well. Gonna get some replacement plants vegging up and ready to go when those come out.

I got all the clones out and now I have no idea what I'll do with them, lol. He just wanted to get rid of some. I thought he'd know what each one was but they're mixed up so I wouldn't wanna pass 'em to anyone else. It might mean a little sog on the side.

Word.

We'll see what I'm gonna do here. I got a big bail of sunshine mix so I can probably spread the love around. Considering buying 2 gal smart pots to sog them. Also kind of considering just leaving them in what they're in and flipping them over as soon as they root it out. I'd end up with a bunch of little 7-10"ers like that sweet tooth auto I did in the solo cup probably. They're not in solos but little planter cups a little shorter than a solo.

Also thought of throwing them all in a soil bed together for the hell of it... that could be fun...

Bought some 2 gal smart pots to play with. I'm not sure what i'm planning yet but it gives me more options when it comes to the clones.

Here's some new pics from tonight... I pulled everything apart to clean up, trim, and get pics of the plants in the back. Did I mention this setup sucks? :) I'm out of the closet one way or another soon, heh.

Ugh, photobucket has been going nightmare slow for me lately.

Here we go:

the front Casey Jones x Green Manalishi, 33 days in:

The center CJxGM:

Final Kolossus:

C99s at 43 days:

Taken from the flip end:

This is the C99 hidden away in the back, through the screen:

The C99's with LED exposure seemed the most N hungry. This is the back side, aka the side with the LED hitting:

Diesel starting to fill out:

Lights on group shot:

That's it for now...

Looking like some happy girls altar! I'm hoping you get a new place soon and really get to have some fun! Having some room is so much more fun ;)

Whoops, fixed the broken links.

Gigs, cross your fingers! Even if I have to frame out a box in this horrible basement... hope it doesn't come to that.,..

I took down the outdoor C99's due to threat of bud rot. There has been a lot of rain here and there were about four spots forming in one. The other was more robust and I let her go an extra week but I just took her down today.

Here is the second one just coming down... I did a quick trim of fan leaves in the woods. Remember these are tiny... haha. (Hilariously small actually. Fun experiment though. I'm really high off the earlier harvested one which I just pulled out of the drying rack.)

And here is the first one dried:

Check out the massive yield on the weaker/first one.. haha...

Who wants to bet on the weight of the second one when it's dried... heh

Here is the good/second one trimmed up, I just pulled it out of drying and took these shots a second ago:

My first outdoor grow (after I quit growing in the early '90s) was in bagged organic vegetable potting soil and I only fed them once. I can't imagine how good they would have been if I had fed them weekly!

Cheers,
Mo

Looks great! The clones i put out were just a solo cup's worth of provided soil dropped right in the sandy forest floor to compete with the neighboring weeds... heh :D

Came up with an interesting thought... basically line one wall of a bed room with the two 5 foot scrog racks, side by side... 10 feet across, 8 bulbs (3 ft) tall.... thinking it would be fairly easy to rig up some kind of giant curtain made out of something fireproof and installed on a very secure track at the top... run the track parallel to the wall but 1-2 ft out, leaving just enough space to vert some plants nicely. You could go a little farther out but I think 1 foot would be the bomb as I would lose very little foot print and still probably have enough room for a good scrog.

I'd have to keep it tight, nothing coming out the backs at all. But I already refined my plans on vscrog in general and will no longer weave into nets, just use zip ties to secure to the net as they grow in front of it. So this should work nicely with that too.

The thing would be getting that big ass curtain... might just do some real simple faux wall reflecting panels instead... but I would totally want the option of opening the bitch up whenever I want... imagine the beauty of being able to pull the curtain and just roll the whole thing out from the wall (I picture a completely unnecessary hinge pivot so they swing out like doors to the sides) to get at the front sides... haha... after all this garbage it would be amazing.

See, the thing is, I think I could get a lot from that... I want to upgrade to HID but I'm starting to see how vscrog and fluoro could work together pretty well at this point, if dialed in properly. So I kind of want to keep the T5's on task to some degree. If anything it's a matter of figuring out what to do with the LED in such a scenario... probably a separate chamber. But I'm not entirely ready to throw in the T5 towel now that I got a taste of this... perhaps I'll stick with the basic logic but just use the whole thing as a super-compact veg chamber... could get them trained and used to vert and then just pull the curtain and roll the whole thing into a vert HPS setup in the same room so easily. If done right you wouldn't have to move it more than a few feet. Also, curtain would be so easy to snake ventilation through.

Obviously the downside is heavy curtains hanging in a room with HID lighting... so I think I'd have to make it out of something truly flame-proof. Another option would be those big insulated 1" panels with the shiny side velcro'd to a simple 2x4 across the bottom and top of the room. Maybe have one that isn't even velcro'd for easy access right in front/middle... could just pull the corner of a dresser in front of it or something...

BUT... I really like the curtain idea. Here's the thing... I have seasonal depression to some degree from living in the northern climate... and I think that the extra light from the fluoros would be a lot better than no light at all... so I could drop a bunch of eye-friendly bulbs in there and get my light fix and my plant fix just by hanging out in a bedroom... I dig that.

I mean I could even throw a few shelves in in tandem and make a second floor of the same thing again... it'd be this crazy 8x10' wall of T5's... it would yield a fuck lot in a pretty damn small foot print of committed space...

Bonus: Could do the dark and light layers separately on the curtain, thereby allowing a translucent option... imagine the glow of all those T5's coming through a 8x10' white curtain... it would be fucking glorious... like a day-wall...

Edit: Well, when it's empty anyway. LoL. When it's full hopefully the glow would be dulled significantly by plants blocking it... heh.

Looking at these vert DWC operations is super inspiring. I love growing in soil but I won't lie, I crave the stimulating rush of witnessing accelerated growth. ;) Doesn't seem like it would be too expensive to get going... not sure I could plumb two buckets together without a leak but only one way to learn, lol. I got some soil and earth juice to use up yet, but I think I'll at least try one on the side to wet my feet soon.

Also, in the mean time, considering just getting some line and some of them stakes that feed directly to the surface... plumb it up to my feeding barrel and save my back...

Clones are itching for liberation... have to decide pretty soon what goes in 2 gal rows and what will go in the middle and such... expecting my 2 gal's here tomorrow hopefully. C99 has about a week left until the recommended chop frame.

Whoops, fucked up lighting twice in 24 hours... ha. Oh well. At least the second one was too much dark instead of too much light. First I had about 14 hours of lights on because I accidentally knocked the switch from timer to on mode... then apparently when I closed up after that I forgot to actually plug the lights back in because I expected them to be off and they were so nothing seemed amiss at the moment... whoops! They were in the dark for an extra 12 hours but now they're back under light... could have just left them another 12 and maintained the schedule but I took my chances with just letting the cycle switch since I don't really need to keep temps down during the day now.

On the upside, much better schedule for getting at my plants... lol. I will take some pics tonight. I glanced earlier when fixing the lights and was glad to see the other C99's are now starting to shift in color to match the one that got the direct LED exposure. Day 47 on those.

The CJxGM's are filling out nicely and developing some pretty top colas.

I'll put up some pics of everything after I get in and water tonight.

Got my 2 gals but ran outta worm castings... heading to the shop tomorrow...
