OK lets see...
one bomb has really sprung up, shes at 26" the others are around 17". some yellow sprung up in the largest bomb cause we stopped giving it tap water and it was lacking Mg/Fe so i'm slowly gettin it off the hard water. were gona flower the mids tomorrow (ill post pics) other then that shit is goin good. OH i think some of the plants might have started to flower. look at the pics....any comments??? if it is flowering why is that? theyre all on a 20/4 light cycle.

Here are some more pics for you littlegrower. The one with the yellowing leaves isn't quite as dense as it looks in the pic but the runt and the other one are rock solid. Both have very different smells though. The one in the back is kind of peppery with a smell like nag champa. The runt is much more skunky.

Muffinman, I can't see in the pics, these blasted banner ads are in the way but they could be flowering if the strain is self-flowering. I had wondered if THC Bomb was. Our clones started to pre-flower before we changed the light schedule too.

Correction: The site fixed the thing with the banner ads. They do look like they are pre-flowering.

zieg-thanks for more pics!! looks like they are rounding the corner and are finishing up for the harvest. still quite a few of white hairs by the looks in pics bt that might be decieving. have the calyx really exploded yet?? im nt sure about the strain bt i always liked to push my strains to the point where the calyx bulk up and get more vs hair ratio..hw r the clones doing??? did u keep some from each plant(phenos)?? you might find one better after harvest and may want to keep that as your main THC Bomb mom.

Muffin- your plants start to form preflowers once it reaches a mature age(usually takes about a month or so). your plants will nt flower under 20 hrs of light. they have just reached a maturity and the shoots now come out more bunched and staggered which looks like the pic 3. very healthy though, keep up the good work.

Sorry for the late reply littlegrower.

Yeah they really have. The runt's were the most impressive. The buds she had were just swollen. It's too bad there weren't more of them.

So I just finished trimming them up and you called it man. The one you pointed out earlier was by far the top producer. I don't have an accurate weight but just by bulk she finished way ahead of all the rest.

The last one actually ended up looking a little sickly with a disturbing smell. Maybe it'll get better as she drys but while I was trimming her . . . I can't put my finger on it but it's not a very nice smell.

Anyway I'll be back with the dry weights as soon as I know them.

Below is a bud from the runt. It's a little blurry because I don't have a macro lens for the close-ups but you can still make out the trichomes pretty well.

hey muffin man i got the same reflectors how many lights are u using under each? and zeig how do you know when they are ready to harvest? 11 weeks is sativa time you can pick up a handheld microscope from radioshack for like 15 bucks. going by the pistols isnt always the best way to tell when plants are ready

You seem a little confused. I didn't harvest at 11 weeks, I harvested at 13 weeks, but that wouldn't be "sativa time." If you look back over the thread, when I say 13 weeks I mean total; from the moment they sprouted. That means about 9 weeks in flower.

The timing + the color of the hairs + the face that they seemed to have stopped growing were all indicators I took into account in deciding when to harvest. I know checking out the trichomes is a more accurate way of checking but I wasn't aware a handheld microscope was that cheap. I'll definitely be using one next time.

zeig-hw mch did they weigh wet and are you gona continue this thread with your clones??
I don't remember what the full wet weight was. We (my wife and I) use a food dehydrator to start the drying process. It speeds it up quite a bit but I don't dare let them get fully dry that way. Anyway the weight coming out of the dehydrator was around 8 oz. Not as much as I had hoped but . . . The clones are looking like they'll weigh in much heavier. Can't get the little shits to stay up for the life of me and they've still got at least a month to go.

I ended up needing to tie them up to the ceiling and tie the main branches together to keep them from dipping to low and getting wet when the pump turns on. I may have to come back to post their final weights. I try to get a pic of them up here tomorrow, right now the lights are off.

WEEK 8

put the mids and that one thcbomb i thought was flowering into flowering exactly a week ago. they all look good, two out of the three bombs are defiantly female along with the mids plant in the first pic on the left. the tallest mids (pic 1 on right) is 33". the other bombs are in the last pics, one is 30" the other 23". the last picture is the tallest bomb. theres a tint of purple in all the THCB fan leaves which is sweet. gona pick some clones tomorrow. Oh, and i got a question: will it hurt to keep the 2 other bombs in veg for another 3-4 weeks? i want to get a cycle going so i can harvest every month. if yes will it help the over all yield?

and sk8, i try to get the lights as close as i can while catching as many fan leaves as possible and theres one 23W (100W) CFLs in each reflector. but were trying to get more lights, were kinda on a budget till first harvest.

Zieg, i was thinkin more then 8 but its pretty much free weed:weed:
good luck on the clones!!!

Muffin- are you flowering under a HPS? if yes, then you can keep that plant longer in veg, may take longer to start flower but will produce more. if its a CFL flower room then it may already be too large for good buddage. looking very healthy too.

i once grew 2 thc bombs and got 4 oz of each under a t5 and one 150w hps. how well do you think this plant would do in a scrog or vscrog senario? i am planning on scrogging this summer with a friends and we are looking to yield between 5-7 lbs. what ph are your plants stabalized at and also what nutrients do you use?

what do you mean already too large for good buddage?? it can get too big?
CFLs are a great thing for veg but not for flowering if you want a good harvest you need hps or even metal halide. those CFLs you have will only give you a max of maybe an oz per plant. thats high estimate. ive seen some good grows with CFLs but they have many of them angled all over the plants to get light everywhere. with one on top you can already tell your plants are stretching. big plants need lots of light.

i understand. i have a 400w hps and a reflector its just a bit much for where im at right now. would it be alright to get another 6-8 lights and place them all around the plants? at least for now.(this is the first grow in a bunch to come)
