Right on, yeah I have always been the hermit grower/toker . 100% covert even back home. I imagine those who dare reap the rewards down this way, but man I have not even smelled weed since arriving. I see a road trip in the very near future, gotta check on the trout in the Animas, make sure they are ok.

Haha. No I spend a lot of time in H-town. You and your friends may be doing fine. But for the common smoker, no bro. H-town is light years behind... Even if you claim your flower is better (which is a plausible claim, there are badass small time growers out here) you can't compare the quality of concentrates, amount of selection, casual and relaxed nature of sales etc. to a legal state especially Colorado... Not to say that a lot of stuff showing up here isn't from the "green rush"

I'm just saying for a state with such a percentage of smokers, and appetite for money... We are light years behind Colorado.

Don't get me wrong guys. We have GREAT quality smoke here. I'm saying its not always easy for the common man or new smoker to get its hands on, without inconsistency. It could take years to meet a grower, or someone with direct access to a grower. Especially us paranoid fucks down here in TX... For some ppl it is easier to find a Colorado middle man than to deal with all the stress that could be involved. Plus save you nights of having to smoke shitty weed because your guy took vacation without a heads up, or is in jail. Or just because you wanted to slap the shit of them because they are arrogant pricks who think they are something special cause they can slip the law.... Lmao I'm rambling, but point made

light years behind?

my indoor dank goes between $50-100 an oz depending how im feeling. i grow landrace sativas, of which ive never seen an accurate representation at a seedbank or shop. the breeder strains i have are grown just as well as anyone's. and arent exactly hard to come by

what your talking about is just problems with being black market. that doesn't mean done wrong, thats anywhere its illegal. just an inherent outcome if you dont grow your own. its not supposed to be easy for a new smoker to find a grower

.......that's what I'm trying to say. We are in this condition because its illegal here. But we grow great weed. Sounds like an echo.

Also you can go back about 10-20 pgs and read me talk about how TX would be such a great place for a market for rec pot because of our long grow season and ability to grow out long term landrace strains. Also sitting on some old timers haze seeds that no body will be able to grow outdoors (good luck indoors) in Co.

This is also one of my fucking points. "Depending on how I'm feeling" that's shitty business practice bro. Anyone I've sold to for an extended period of time, the price has only gone down. You know why? Because you build business relationships. Yeah something the black market has got fucked up

6 month flowering time with a couple grams the size of your fist = more expensive than my master kush clone flowering in 7-8 weeks with a 1/2 oz the size of my fist and less trimming.

either way its between $.27-.38 per gram after all yearly costs.

yes of course prices drop after a period of time selling to someone as you said you do yourself. i dont see how thats shitty business. if it is i guess you do it too?
anyway that doesnt mean we're doung anything wrong, again that's just black market. and most of the world. we as a state are not behind in anything

ill leave you with one of my favorite quotes.

fowl language is the feeble minds futile attempts at expressing itself forcefully

Just got back from Colorado last night, and bro, I think we are doing it wrong down here
I've heard the opposite from every single one of my people.. they all say the smoke in the shops is pretty weak. Weak high, smokes weak, tastes weak. Though they did enjoy the novelty of it all.
That said.. I know plenty of small time growers in CO who are growing very, very nice herb. That's everywhere though..
I was in CO a few months ago but didn't stop at a shop. Next time I will when I have a little more time.

Yeah. I had the same experience myself... That's anything commercialized, especially a plant. Of course a grower is going to put extra effort into their grow if its specifically for them or family. So its obvious in the buds I've seen for sale as to the ones I've grown, the dispensary bud of course is not going to have that untouched, personalized, perfectly cured bud that a grower is used to. Again not all business models are setup that way. I haven't been, but supposedly there are high end shops that provide real "top shop" nugs. For an extra cost of course...

Texas pride lol... Let me make myself clear. There are growers around Texas that'll make the whippersnappers in Colorado dispensaries fucking toes curl. There are also growers in Colorado who are fucking genuis... You know why? Because they are importing them left and right. Also, you see more and more states and cities decriminalizing or considering legalization. Colorado is the frontier. It's bringing issues to the surface that we've been ignoring for yearbasishin the pothead community (not just growers). It's hard to see (especially from some of your bigger time growers) as a grower, what the average lame man that refuses to grow because they have legal ramifications, may be dealing with on a day to day basis. Yeah if its bringing in all your income, and you're smoking some of the best personally grown bud in the world, its hard to see how much advancement the "community" has gone through...

My whole point was we need to do more for legalization. When it comes time to pull the plug on the black market, I hope my fellow Texans do the right thing. Keep your eyes on Oregon, Washington, CO etc.. Let's not just "wake up" after the fact, and be like "well that came fast!" Cause its not. Wasn't for CO... Let's make our state better. Maybe not the "best" like the falicy shit all Texans are taught as kids. Texas isn't always better... Haha sorry

Old timers: if you could've had 6 plants at any given time legallly during your duration of life (or just growing) how do you see your life being different today?

That's a sincere question. I'm speaking to someone with old age that has been in the "community" for a while. Or someone who hasn't done anything but grow and sell\donate.

then there would have been no jail time for petty fkn marijuana offenses. cant really say how things may have ended up had there been no prohibition, but it surely would be fkn positive

And I grew up in the State to the East of TX, though not there anymore, where they still jail incessantly for mary jane. Dads side of family from TX so its in the genes anyhow ;)

I believe people who arent afraid to curse are much more honest and blunt people. Its a fucking language..who says thats a "bad" word? Who tells you that? The people who wrote the fucking laguage or some of someones forefathers who didnt like what others were saying?

I would not have lost my job as a RN one time. Morphine was missing and had been from the narcs cabinet. Obviously an RN with the keys. Nobody could be caught so piss time for all RNs with the keys. No MSO4 on me of course but marijuana was. Fired on the spot. Dumb cocksucking motherfucking TEXAS sucks!!!!!!!!! I am a native Texan born to people who got there in 1828 so keep your home shit to yourself. Fuck that motherfucker of a state. Fuck all the assholes who like that chickenshit state too. They are an extreme political liability and are so goddamned stupid that in Norway now being "Texas" is being called insane.

I'm 66 and grew up scared to death of being caught with a joint.
