Alright fellow led growers I will be testing Hans panel in a stealth/summer sealed room(oh oh)..........

Light: Hans Panel the specs are here http://www.bonsaihero.com/ledgrow.html I payed full price! if it sucks, Ill be the first to tell you...pics
026.jpg029.jpg037.jpg034.jpg

Medium: 50% cocco/ 30% organic potting soil(microwaved/fu gnats:))/20% perlite......soil ph at 6.9-7.0 / runoff at 6.7ph

Ferts/additives: Organic TRF (dynamite)/ Horticultural lime granules ....mixed in the medium/ very light application

Water: Aerated tap water ph 6.6-7.1( aerating using aquarium pump/airstone, thus removing chlorine and adding high O2 levels)

Intake/outake cfm's: None!! complete sealed room(apt complex/ stealth is key) little worried about a sealed summer run(never done it before/only winter/will see)

Strain: Nirvana (lol/ shitty genetics/owner IMO) blue mystic auto(lol again, don't like autos) BUT it was free/ buddy hates them too/ good for the test maybe:)

001.jpg

CO2 enrichment: Ha.................CANDLE........yes that right/ testing has shown in my 4x4x6 one candle brings the ppms to 1600 in a hour and maxes out at 2200 ppm (obviously with the plants the number will decrease due to consumption)and don't even think about trying this enrichment without a "flame defender", I don't want anyone to get hurt by being careless:)

003.jpg002.jpg

Enviromental control: Temp/rh/ppm(co2) meter........vital in a sealed room/ don't bother running one without a ppm meter.......

Air Circulation: 10 inch fan (4w low/8w high) over a 2x2 area.....

Light schedule: 24/0 yep, its an auto so i'm running this shit fast(germ-harvest under 9 weeks)ha will see , this panel consumes at max 64w so it's like running a standard light bulb(figure less than a pack a smokes for a month 24/7 draw)

Pots: Three gallon smart pots....

Light supplementation: None, I have a clamp light(with 5w led bulb/ha keeping it honest) to check on defs/pests/nute issues

Odor control: Two gonzo bags and a small air ionizer(1.5w)....Nirvana says neutral smell while growing....ha again will see Gipsy:)

Key to running a successfull stealth grow:
Don't show your grow....
Don't Tell about your grow.......(i know my seeds where given to me/ he runs a WAY larger grow than me, so it's a non issue)
Don't sell your grow......
Don't use a room/closet/cupboard were plumbing/electrical breakers/cable and internet wiring/etc. might need to be accessed!!

Well the seeds are in the ground and once popped, we begin the countdown............Thanks to all the RIU led growers for the great info, this is my first led grow/ my first summer sealed grow/ my first auto grow(lol)....so i'm gonna need your help....

On with the show:005.jpg004.jpg

Comments and criticisms are welcome...........Just don't tell me "yo drop an hps in there and grow some trees noob"!!

Edit: Starting out on early flowering phase(43w) since auto have basically no veg period i think(any auto experts chime in please)
No co2 until first set of leaves develop..........be safe and happy growing...

An HPS is cheaper... ;) Subbed for sure. Bravo for grabbing one of these to test it out for us all. The custom reflector is aluminum? Blah, so pretty without lenses.

Dude I'm subbed but remember that candle puts out way more CO than CO2 so it's actually pretty bad for the plant from what I've read from around here. At least if your going to do it see if you can check out the CO level. You may change your mind. Good Luck and Happy Growing.

Goals??? not to fuck up......ha/ it will be entertaining(not to many mess ups I hope) good to have you on board brother puff.....probably should have taken your advice on just pure cocco:-P

Yep great panel/ no secondary lenses /not aluminum, not sure what it is, looks like a coating

sweet! get in there PSUAGRO!!! subbed
Thanks......glad your on board...

Yes, co and co2, detremental in huge levels(both)i'm using onecandle, don't forget that candles were used in excessive amounts before electricity in enclosed area's (church) :)
Will see......like I said it will be entertaining.....also burning any hydrocarbon (propane/natural gas/etc. co2 generators) gives off co and co2
If I see major stunting, ill just stick a hamster in there lol

All right then P just please be careful. I fuckin hate candles. I live in an old neighborhood, and those things are responsible for so much grief. I'd rather have PSU around with little buds than not anyday!

Now I'm gonna sit down, shut up and enjoy the show.

Thanks for your kind words Fran....their are families in the building and I'll be damned if anything detrimental would happen to them due to my shitty auto grow/I'll do my best to keep it safe and unnoticeable friend

F***ING AWESOME!!!! LET'S LET THE CANDLES LIT AHAHAHAHAH!!!!
Yes let's do this Spaniard.....sorry I will be rooting for Italy in the Europe cup:-)

I'm in, his panel design looks quite modern.
Yeah nice design/glad your joining/but will it deliver?

Can't wait to see the unfolding of this journal!!
Do you plan on doing SCROG/LST? I think this would work best for this kind of setup.

Yes I would prefer it due to the large lense angle/ but don't know these AF's growing characteristics(first time using them); probably similar to 12/12 from seed???IDK........
Thanks for watching

I'm on the T5 LED fence right now, and honestly T5 is about to win my support. Subb'd up anyways though, this looks clean and Im really interested in heat aspects more than anything else.

Stealth = no noise, no light leaks, no conspicuously large housing, and NO HEAT (which will cause most people to crack doors, get bigger housing, buy noisy vents, etc)

SUBBED!

Well, well, well. At last Hans' light gets an unbiased grower. You are, aren't you?

Since the closet is small and sealed, I would only use the candle sparingly, ~1 hour per day, although I am sure someone can do precise calculations. Maybe you can find candles that will burn down/out in the ideal time.

Would you take a pic of the o/o switches. I would like to see them for the various grow stages

How long did it take to get here, and was the packaging stealth?

Yeah t5 are great but they do put out some heat......i'm expecting a hot summer here in the northeast/so leds are my only option in a sealed room without AC.....

Ha pet, yeah paid it in full (pricey for a 56w light), so no BS here.......took 9 business days to get to the east coast (after Paypal confirmation)/not discreet packaging!!.....using ikea tealights(4 hr burn time) 100 pack for four dollars/not bad for a hundred day co/co2 enrichment....not dragging out a tank and regulator for two autos:-)

Will take some pics after I get out of work for you......thanks for joining the ride:-)

Edit: here are the pics for you pet:
029.jpg002.jpg004.jpg003.jpg
As you can see no switch(not happy!) needs to be rewired per phase.....if you wanna see the different phases in action check the website in the beginning of the thread:)

Oh btw check my little experiment on medium choice008.jpg pure cocco(with oraginc trf) left and Local organic soil(w trf)/15% perlite on the right....Both genovese basil started same time from seed, this pic is 9 days after germination.......I think the results are to big to ignore/ thanks to puffenuff advice(journals) for making this long time dirt farmer change for the better IMO....only reason I amended my medium(30% soil) for the girls is due to the high heat levels(amplified by cocco/smartpots= aeration/evaporation properties)that I will be facing in the sealed room.....be safe and happy growing

it seems to me like you invested a lot of money and time in your setup, all of this for a 64W light? I mean the sealed room and all!? I heard c02 enrichment needs a lot of light to make it better. looking forward to how you do! good luck psuagro

do you have a dehumidifier? Just asking coze I tried something similar with homemade co2(sugar yeast) in a small cabinet and the humidity was always way too high, I figured sealed room are best on a big scale

Hey enduro....nah most of the stuff is from my old grows (still got allot of shit in storage)/had to break the real grows down due too the bacon....I did spend 290 dollars on the panel to grow some personal stash, will see if it's a good investment:-P

Yeah your right About the humidity issues, but I've learned over the years that mj can tolerate more than growers are taught on these sites/and I'll be pushing these girls to the limits because it's a test of this panel and also myself as a grower/not trying to break Hans record obviously (I would've picked a great photoperiod strain/DWC/scrog to match this setup) it's just for fun and maybe we will learn something through my successes or downfalls.......the candle method works, I've used it in a pinch before and yes fermentation method creates humidity and allot less co2 than burning hydrocarbons....be safe and happy growing:-)

Edit: thanks for your input Enduroxx/hope you stay around and contribute (you know leds way more than me!).....to seal the room took a shit load of weather stripping and silicone applications (total of 25 dollars)....

Waiting on the girls to head north and it will begin.....first couple Weeks will be boring, so bear with me..
