Tent with 3 lights?

Hey guys. So ive come to a point where im an intermediate grower. Ive done soil and hydro grown organic and chem and grown from seed and tsken clones.

My method of growing though has been to stick a 1000w air cooled on top with no reflective sheeting around my plants let alone the room. The quality of my smoke is great but yields are bad.

When I first started I made a make shift tent from poly and my yeilds were better but smoke was bad. Obviously my environment management has improved vastly since then.

Ive been told to revert back to the tent setup but this time with multiple lights. What to you guys think about this? If I do it im thinking wing reflectors. I have an 8000 BTU ACU and im thinking maybe 8ft wx 4ft l with 3 1000w for flower. I think I should be yeilding more for my time invested can this setup turbo boost may harvests?

Do you really need the tent for your situation? I mean, I have one too as a nursery but I just think they're otherwise heat trappers.
True but I think I wasting alot of light. Plus winters coming and I have an ACU. I cant figure out what else im doing wrong tbh.

So. I don't grow in tents. But a I know people that do. And have been through what you're thinking of now. I've seen it two ways.

You can 3 hoods right next to each other. And run 1000s if you have a good cooking method figured out. Sorry I didn't read all the posts not sure f it was mentioned.

Some people I know have had more success doing 6 600 watts hps with cool tubes

Set up an open space with pasteboard painted with flat white containing titanium dioxide. What are you yielding, how many plants, are you topping, lsting, or anything of the sorts.

Light may not be the issue, could be your growing style

My last grow was only 3 1/2 oz from 3 scrogged plants on a 4x4 ebb and flow table with 1 1000w hps I used GH Flora series and Botanicare Calmag Plus. I had no issues with temps or anything. Grow before that wasnt great with yeilds either 7 ozs from 14 plantd if I remember correct. I used GH Flora with Flora Nectar, AN Rhino Skin and Botanicare Calmag again on a ebb and flow table with 1 1000w hps I think I topped them once.

Strains were WOS Afghan Kush Special and Sensi Super Skunk being the grow before last.

Also what did u mean by cooking method.

I'd suggest going back to soil. There's something going on in your growing method that's hindering you. Extend your veg to 8 weeks see if things improve or do a grow journal so we can follow along and help
I will do and thanks. And I actually have gone back to soil should be done within two weeks. Ill post pics tomorrow.

Next grow start from scratch on here and I'm sure you'll increase your yields. 3-1000' would be overkill IMO for a four by eight room. I think a better setup as stated would be 3-600's dual spectrum, or two 1000's. Pretty sure it wasn't the fact there was no walls up TBH, hope this one is better!

Its probably not the light , Unless your using 3 year old bulbs. Veg time and roots is probably what you need!

Bingo!!!! This....all day this!!! There is a reason why the "been there , done that" crowd recommends things!!! Listen to them. They will save you money and headaches!!!!!
Funny you put it like that. A few years ago when I was starting out I had a visit from one of the few growers I know and right away he said " I dont understand why your pissin around with this tent when you have a nice room right here"
Originally my thinking was that I was going to veg and flower in the same room but I found out pretty quick I was giving myself a headache that I didnt need to have. Back then I bought 2 tents. Now, ones for sale and the other one I moved to a different room and use it for raising my babies. Besides all that, unless you get one of those monster sized tents they run out of floor space real quick when the plants start to bush out.

Yup...been down that road. I use to use 2 6x6x6 tents with 8 600 watt lamps. Very difficult to supplement co2 the rite way. Zipped up they were hard to cool and dehumidify. Even with the air cooled hoods. And fans mounted in all the right spots. Impossible. With alot of plants the vent fan didnt do shit at night. Evenrtually i got out my dehuey, ac, and left the doors unzipped and open 24-7 in a dark basement. Then i thought...."this is just a growroom with canvas and tent poles in the way". So i scrapped the two tents. Well not really. Use them with t5's and veg, mothers and cuts do all thier business in them. I built a proper room with 2x4's, plywood, foil foam boards, a door, etc. Unless you just want to remain all hobbylike and want some buds to smoke (4X4 tent 1000 WATT all u need) i say leave tents for veg. I will catch hell for this here. I dont care. I said it. I fukt with heat traps called tents long enough!!!

And i bet they dont sell manh of the big ass 10x10 tents..Even a rookie could see that if your going 10x10 or bigger just build a room. The way you want it built. I modified the shit out of my tents by the time i ditched them for flowering. And they never were the way i needed them to be. With a room you can get really creative in one try!!!!
