TENNESSEE: status on laws???

I am a medical marijuana patient in california and relocated to TN. no laws here for legalization and I dont want to encourage criminal activity so im forced to produce my own medicine for my use's. Even though still illegal here to grow, im sure you can see my justification.

Question I have is; Does anyone know TN status on making it legal? if so when and how could I help?

Ok I've noticied some people stopping in. I did some looking around online, heres the short version: NOT ANYTIME SOON. where's clinton when you need him...not hilary, fuck her, smokes are $5.25 the cheapest.

thanks for stopping in.

fuck tennessee. Ridiculous drug laws in place to justify the existence of corrupt law enforcement and state-run incarceration. Marijuana should be legalized immediately. but dont get caught here in good ole tennessee or they will lock you up!!!

No progress at all this year. The bill didn't make it out of committee. With the new Gov and the state solidly in republican hands, there is no way that anything will happen.

You can help by supporting State Reps. Beverly Marrero and Jeanne Richardson and US Rep.Steve Cohen. All are from Memphis.

I do not think it is a "Party" that is going to make a difference. I think it is the person, so you need to know how someone stands on an issue you are passionate about. No matter Dem Or Repub or Indy --Here are some Proponents for MJ and the bulk of them are Repub to shore up my comment http://azmmps.org/congress-pro-marijuana-bills

To the OP you need to get active and vote and write letters. Do not think you are the only one doing it. However if you are not you do have a lot of company. Join MPP.org and donate to the cause. Show up for local rallies and get active. Or get a sniper rifle and see how long you last... LOL Those are your only choices really. To do something about it. In the meantime go stealth like we have been for 50 years now.

Yeah man, it's pretty strict here in Tennessee. I was a river guide on the Ocoee river this past summer and got to see all the nice helicopters fly over looking for grow sites. Several of my friends got their shit wrecked. Whole patches completely devastated. One gram is all it takes to do 11/29. That is 11 months 29 days. So stealth is the way to go, bro. Be good, be safe.

I live in Knoxville, Tennessee, I suffer from PTSD , Bipolar Disorder, and Sever Depression. I am a six year Veteran that served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. I have went through medications such as seroquel , mertazipine, lithium, depakote, and several other medications in which the negative side effects greatly outweighed the positive changes. Medical Cannabis is the only medication that works with little to no side effects with the positive results being felt within a few minutes and not weeks or months. Everyday I send and email to not only my Tennessee Representative but the ones sponsoring the state bill allowing safe access to medical cannabis. The bill has been taken off notice and I feel that it's defeat would only happen even if it did go to vote. Going stealth is my only choice as I do not have the luxury of moving my entire family to a state that allows the use of medical cannabis. I hope one day that our State and Federal Governments not only allow its citizens to use a non-addictive, naturally grown, herbal medicine for use against a long list of ailments, but also allows its use for all U.S. Citizens such as they allow us to consume alcohol or smoke cigarettes which have a far greater negative impact on the human body than marijuana. It is time to end this Prohibition and legalize it, the people have spoken and the majority rules in favor.

Tn. legislates nothing for the people,,,only special interest groups....If Tn. does anything for the people it is only a restriction on something,,,not something for the good...They even tax groceries here,,,,I've never paid tax on groceries until i came to Tn.,,,,Tn gets every dollar they can..But one thing i don't see here is having any such thing as Medical Marijuana..

dude be careful of your pain meds the doc gives you. since the republicans have total control they are passing crazy law after crazy law. if you have a pain med prescribed you have to go to see your doctor every 30 days pay for a piss test and if you don`t have enough or to much pain med you will lose the perception and most likely your doctor too. also if you have anything else in your system that doctor didn`t prescribe to you then you will lose in the same way. the crazy part of this law is the doctor will lose his license if its not followed to the letter. which means if you fail its makes it very hard to get a doctor( i learned this the hard way). heres the funny part of it they passed it to cut down on the meth problem. that should have you scratching your head for a bit.
i don`t know where in the state 1 gram will get you 11-29, the state is decriminalize and has been since the `80`s. if you have less than an oz and in 1 package you`ll have to go to court and pay a fine its a little cheaper than a dui around $1000. if your growing keep your plant count down to 4 and a lawyer can get you down to personal. a pack of papers is just the same as having weed in some places, but that varys from cop to cop. if you can figure out how to make this law work let me know, you can have all the weed you want if you get a tax stamp. but to get the stamp you have to take the weed it to the courthouse to get it taxed. but it is illegal to have in your possession till you get the stamp.lol thats for what it says.
if your going to work here, look out for your self and make sure you don`t get hurt. they just passed a law that has just about to done away with workman comp, they say if you get hurt at work its your fault for being there. like i said they are passing some silly ass laws. one they passed last year that has had to be rewrote 75 times. at first it said anyone over the age of 17(parents included) could not talk about sex to a minor, this comes with a 5 year minimum.
on the plus side they have a bill that got pushed to the side by the teaparty take over, so one day it will happen. welcome to the south!

I live here and 1 gram and a bowl was 3200 bucks with two 550 court cost in 2011.I also beat a growing charge where they let there self in my house with no warrant and found 105 plants counting unrooted clones.I had 23 mother plants killed but at least I did not get the 3 to 16 years that # of plants carry.I had a sharp ass lawyer

dale i been popped for simple possession more than once mostly in the nashvile area and near paid more than a grand plus court cost no lawyer. the gram and the bowl would be 2 charges but 3200 is still high. you were lucky on the no warrant. a friend had 3 o`s when they did the same to him, and they flipped it to the fed and made it stick and he`s doing 2 years now.

Im in upper east TN and thats not counting 750 probation fees. that has a drug class thats 250.Hell if it was that cheap here I would not sweat it so much.Im in Carter and Washington counties here
