A friend went to the Denver Cannabis Cup and brought back a pack of Temple Kush seeds from The Ethos Collective. It looks like they can not be ordered online and I can not find any info on as far as grow tips, nute preferences etc... soooo guess I'll be one of the first to grow this strain ? :weed:

Has anyone heard of Ethos?

I just put my three seeds in the dirt. Now the wait begins....

This looks amazingly tasty... a pic from their facebook page.

Temple Kush is a fairly heavy feeder. She thrives in dryer and cooler environments, for a much heavier resin production and to bring out her purple. In warmer environments, she yields much heavier, but the quality falls off. We have a Facebook and Instagram account under our name for more info.

Thank you! I sent you a facebook message asking for grow tips, this answers that message so thank you again! I, unfortunately, put the seeds in with my clones to get started and they died to damping off..... I have restarted a few more in drier and cooler conditions with better seed starter mix. Definitely user error and nothing to do with the seeds other than they may be sensitive to humidity as you mentioned. They all sprouted within 4 days of putting directly into soil and came up strong... then i killed them :( Live and learn... I'm used to growing sativa dom plants so I'll have to learn to cater to the cooler drier side of things with these. I'll keep you posted. I expect to see them popping up in the next day or two.

Just a thought, maybe use those root riot starters. I have had >90% success with them, never had a problem with dampening off or anything. You can also keep them in the root riots for about 3 weeks (my experience) with 0 ill effects that I could notice.

I found this method to be the easiest and most rewarding.

I am really interested in the ethos genetics and hope you will continue posting your progress.

Thank you and I will keep this journal updated weekly or so. Three of the five that I planted just 3 days ago have already sprouted through the soil, that happened sometime in the four hours i was out today so I'll probably see the other two by morning. I snap a pic once they all come up and get a few true leaves.

I'll check out the root riot starters. I used good seed starter this time and put them directly into the large solo cups they'll stay in for a few weeks. I killed the last ones because they went into soil that had been soaking in my humidity dome with my clones... it was too hot and damp in there for seeds... then when i transplanted they were too young... lots of dumb stuff that I wont do again :eyesmoke:

when you say the quality falls off, do you mean that as far as bag appeal or overall smoke experience (or both) ?

Here's an update. Its officially week 2 of life. About a week ago, I dropped the light on them, crushing one of the baby's stems. I was sure it would die, however, the stem now has a nice sap bubble over the crush and she has started to grow again. The other four look great. Starting to see some side branching, making me feel good about the amount of light they are getting. They are currently vegging under T8s. (T5s are my preferred but i'm not there yet)

She got better ! (she gets her own little T5 strip for now)

And here's a shot of the four healthy babies just starting to push out their fourth leaf sets.

I'll check back in with you at week four unless something exciting happens sooner. Not sure if I'm vegging for four weeks or if I want to wait for pre-flowers. I am anxious to find the girls so I'll more likely force flowering at 4 weeks if they look up to it.

Update: The damaged seedling lived, it is still in veg getting a little bit fatter. Her sisters.. and yes

ALL FOUR of the others are girls :hump: :P 8-)

They have now been in flower for four days now. Two showed female yesterday and two showed today. I am very excited to have four girls! I do not believe these were feminized seeds but maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, here's the pics....

When Ethos suggested that these girls like Phosphorus, even in veg, they were not exaggerating.... I've been giving them bloom nutes since about week 2 (of veg) with a little superthrive for a tad bit extra nitrogen (there's kelp in it) and they are much happier, no more deficiency signs... they want nutes with every water and they suck it up fast.

Hello! Lost my good phone and haven't been able to take pics. Finally broke down and took some crappy ones with the replacement phone I'm using.

Tomorrow is 28 days in Flower so we're at week 4 (66 days from seed).

They definitely stretched a bit but the only training I did was bending down the main stem to give the side branching time to catch up. I have a semi even canopy and they look happy and healthy. I'm seeing a few crystals I'll try to get a better pic so you can see close up.

I'm feeding them full strength nutes when i water every two days or so and I'm barely staying ahead of any deficiencies, just a pink stem or two low on the plant. I've been letting the soil get almost too dry between watering.

Week Five. Filling in nicely. I wish I hadn't let them stretch so much, the stems may need support soon, but that's no big deal. the smell is .... wow... really really dank. No color changes but I do keep it pretty hot in there so I may not get much purple. I'll see what i can do about lowering temps when we get closer to the end.

Not that I know of at this point. They linked their facebook page up there so maybe once they do they'll have the info posted?

I was at the cup too. I picked up some of Ethos' Lemon OG Haze. They are in week 5 of flower now. I only germed 2 seeds, 100% germ ratio and both were female. These ladies look amazing so far and smell delicious. Can't wait to see how they turn out. They did stretch quite a bit in flower but they are filling in nicely. I've got them outdoor in a tropical climate so we'll see how they do. So far it looks like this strain might be a keeper.

I believe one of Ethos' strains (Temple Kush maybe?) placed in the cup as well. I'm impressed so far. I'll be back in CO in September...anyone know where to find their seeds?

Nice, I got a 100% germ rate as well. and four out of five females. I'm about a week ahead of you. I dont think it was the temple kush but another kush variety of theirs that placed but i'm not sure. I want to say they took a silver. I'm at six weeks today took a look at the trichomes just for fun. They are all milky and one of the plants is showing an amber or two. I've got at least two weeks to go and was adding a week since they were from seed but now i'm thinking it might be 8 weeks total. I definitely want to let them finish completely so we'll see.
