Temperature/ Humidity

High temp will most def slow down bud developement and high humidity will slow down production of trichomes as well. IMO ideal temps are about 70-75 and RH should not go under like 40 or over 60. This is the way I run my grows and have always had great success.
Thanks bro, maybe the temps(sumtimes gets up to 90) are why Im on my third month of flowering(a little over 3),with my 400 Watt HPS. It's that or the fact it has not been fed ANY nutes for 2 months.....

Wow over 3 months. There are some strains that take a good 12 weeks but they should of been done by now. That and no nutes for the last 2 months is def why they are not done yet. If you show us some pics we would be able to help you better.

Sorry bro. I just looked at that link now. I posted on there as well. That girl looks pretty much done. Pics arent the greatest but from what I can see it looks just about ready. Maybe you wanna give her another week or so but thats it. Have you began flushing yet?

Just like most farming temperature can be strain specific, a plants metabolism is higher at warmer temperatures, however you must be sure the plant has the CO2 and nutrients to support that metabolism. Cannabis should grown no higher than 85 indoors after that it actually slows down its growth. 75 is good but the recommended 10 to 15 degree drop of can leave you exposed to mildew and molds depending on how your room is venting so to be safe daytime 78 to 82 nightime 72 to 75

ide like to comment on what ive learned about humidity... it rises a lot when the lights go off and the temps drop.. someone said there humidity is at 42 and there temps are 84... that probably means if the lights go off and the temp drops to around lets say 74 at night.. the humidity is probably going up to 52 to 54 is my estimate.. i run my lights at night to keep cool temps since i run an hps in a small cabinet.. im still able to keep temps of around 74-78 .Ive noticed high temps lead to some fucked up growth certainly but ive had the biggest problem with humidity. this round is an expirimental one for me where im just going to try and finish the plant 100 percent mature buds that are quality. Ive gotten a lot of powdery mildew so far so ive increased ventilation and strated trimming a lot.. before i wasnt trimming at all.. cause i liked the look of a really bushy plant.. now im trimming like every 4 days.. i notice as soon as I trim a bunch of fan leaves off the humidity goes down atleast 3 percent cause more air is opened up.. my hydro shop guy sais the plants canopys build little sub climates where heat and humidity kinda hang out.. and thats the beggining of mildew and mold so its best to keep your humidity down. . Im still researching as we speak.. one hydro shop guy said the red line is 55 percent.. anything over 50 is risking mildew. and especially over 60 percent for too long is almost a garantee.. IM just expirimenting on one 1 gallon plant and if i see my humidity go up above 55 percent at all this grow i will trim as many leaves as i have to or even branches.. cause once powdey mildew starts.. if you dont get your humidity way down its a garantee it will come back.. if your humidity is 55 every night and not going any lower.. ide reccomend cutting some branches, it sucks but thats a sure way of removing some mass. getting more air flow and lowering humidity the first really big trim i did on my plant the humidity shot way down hop
e this helps to anyone

What is the ideal temperature for maximum growth and prosperity for the vegetative state and flowering? I know some strands can prosper under different conditions but i just need a general idea. Thank you, any suggestions are appreciated.:blsmoke:
i keep a steady 80F

i try to keep it around 80F cause i was told higher then that is too warm. Bullshit. my plants do best at 86F, its a hot summer and i never intended on letting it get so hot, but when i got home from school the plants looked in best shape ever, even the small curlings at the tip of some leafs where straight upwards. + there showing sex and there still in veg mode. thinkin about switching soon Peace

nice info :)

just haveing the same "problem"

fist time indoor growing .. and my temp. with a 600W HPS is around 85F ..

runn a 100mm outtake ventilation with filter and a few fans in the room ..

and I was worried about temps as I read a lot of places that temps schould be keepd around 75-80F and higher then 85F would stun the growth ..
as I do expect temp. will go up a few degress doing this summer ..

btw
plants been in ther for 2 days now and this mornign I also notice they lookd great (a lot better then out side with 75F under my T5HO fixture)
all the leaves was pointing slightly up and it just look helthy .. I would also say my side shoot have grown a bit faster .. but I guess thats the HPS that do its work ..

iv notice with ur purple strains or blues, that if u flower in teps between 65-70 day an 60-65 at night ull enhances the strains natural purple or blue color. wit ne other strains it just makes the bud darker.

this is not a quote: temperature below 65 F is not good. the rest has more to do with humidity. Anything above 75 F 45 to 50% humidity is good. 80 and above no less than 50% humidity possibly higher 55% they thrive in tropical environments. It is up to YOU to create it. a simple 20.00 dollar room humidifier will raise the humidifier but you must tend to it it will require adding water. I hope this helps

I never seem to have dramas with temps up to 100f in summer, its quite comon here in summer and i never notice any drop in productivity. But humidity is a problem for me over he summer months. Anyone run a dehumidifier?

I've had the best success when my temperatures were no higher than about 84 degrees/35 humidity... Temperatures should really be an issue if fresh air is coming in - I mean in the sense that the plants wont suffocate due to the heat. The main thing that I've noticed is that when you have a lot of plants in tight, powdery mildew is a bitch... So watering immediately at lights on is recommended, as well as trimming the undergrowth during veg. so that there's atleast 10 inches between the soii and the first branches...

I have a 10x12 room 30 plants all kush strains, my temp is 80-84 and my humidity is 50-60% Is that fine? Should anything be raised or lowered. My plants leaves sometimes curl down like they are trying to protect themselves from the light. Please let me know thanks!

What about temperature fluctuations during 24 hour cycles? 16 at 78-80, 8 at 70-72? Would something like that make any kind of difference in the plants growth?

I had good luck with my temperatures around 84... But I prefer mid-high 70's now that I've got my ventilation setup organized. High temperatures during the night cycle definitely encourage powdery mildew... And that sucks. It's time consuming to deal with and stressful. So, again, I figured that I could drop the temps into the high mid-high 70's during the daylight cycle (which occurs during the night) and whatever the outside temperature is during the night cycle (which occurs during the day)... This prevents the climate for powdery mildew. Proper PH can help prevent powdery mildew, too... And watering with Actinovate also acts as a sort of organic vaccination against most plant disease. I find that slight fluctuations in temperature (+/- 4 degrees F) is not a big deal. If it happens, so be it.

Hi there, I have indoor ebb, running on h&g food and nuts, dual expectrum 1k lights(5 units) Already 6 week flower(on calculator schedule). I have the room air tight with plastic, one 350cfm fan duct comingfrom outside with filter etc. one huge 90 pint dehumidifier, two bags of co2thingy,. And my problem is i am runing the room at 55-64 and rh 38-45. , cus i am scared of the mites and mildew. What should i do? They look alright but i think if i can get more by taking the risk of go up in temp. I did have mildew and mites in my last run, lost almost everything ... Any advice. I am in michigan winter and is cold outside so i am taking air from outside to keep cold.
Thanks
