Tap water nutrient reservoir 100 L water butt

Hey since i have been using hydroponics i have always used water straight out of the tap and filled a 100 litre water butt whilst adding canna a + b and regen root etc. Basically i have read that because its tap water then the nutrients may not be absored properly because of chlorine and other things, ive been told to leave the water sit for 24 hours so the chlorine evaporates, but how do i add the nutrients in the water then? again ive been told to add nutrients as im filling so the nutrients themselves dont mix together directly. Im running a maxi jet 500 litre pump in the butt to mix the nutes in the 24 hours if that makes a difference? ive also been told to use a air stone in my water butt. I live in a soft water area and these are the figures that i receive when i check my area CaCO3 mg/l 52. Ca mg/l 21. For the year or two ive been doing this ive had no problems with my grows really, but if possible im trying to perfect my nutes. Ive researched about a reverse osmosis system but honestly i dont beleive its worth me doing that. Am i being too paranoid about my water? Hope this makes sense. Cheers

Whats your ppm? I live in a hard water area so its a must for me. I would recommend it anyway just so you know that the chlorine or chloramine and all the other stuff is removed. Soft water can still add between 150-300 ppm before u add anything. I got my RO for under £50 including postage. It gives me water at a ppm to low for my truncheon to read.

You do the water then add part a and mix then add part b then mix then adjust pH. I use a 5gal paint mixer attachment on a cordless drill, takes just a few seconds to mix 50gal.

I agree. I run over 300gal right now and that would never work. I always add straight tap even with bennies.
