I have a bluelab truncheon tds meter, and when I test my tap water, it doesn't light up. Does this mean that the ppm is below the sensitivity of the reader?

I've read that some people actually right the city to get a water ppm...is this necessary?

It's eather not on or you have very good water.

Mix up a little nute soloution and test again, If it reads something then Great you have good water, if it reads nothing then make sure you have srewed the top on properly and the batterys are good.

Oh yes, it reads when there are nutes in the water, but not just the water by itself. I suppose the water is good then! Thanks for your input!
