Tangerine Dream - Attitude Seed Bank

I just wanted to make an informative post for anybody looking for tips or information.

I ordered 5 Tangerine Dream and 5 Super Lemon Haze with some bonus UFO's from Attitude Seed Bank. I live in oregon, the package showed up on time, 5 business days, no problems with the packages or seeds. I decided to go with Tangerine Dream First and I got 4 out of 5 seeds to germinate. I still have one in the incubator. Don't give up if they don't germ right away, 2 of my Tangerine Dream were late. Right now I'm using the wet paper towel on a plate, with a bowl over the top. I have a heating pad under the plate with a towel in between the plate and pad. The seeds love it, I still have one in, and one more was popped this morning. 2 germinated right away, 1 was the next day, and then 1 this morning. 1 more to go, I almost gave up and threw 2 of my super lemon haze into the mini incubator.

Anyway, Very happy with Attitude Seed Bank AND Barny's Farm didn't let me down with the germination rate. I ordered the seeds direct from producer so the packages were unopened original packages, feminized. I will update this thread later or throughout my grow to let you know if my plants Hermied and why and whatever else.

Feel free to ask any questions :eyesmoke:

I heard about Barney's Tangerine dream being a winner at the cannabis cup. I would like to pick up some of these as well. I have not heard a whole lot of good reviews lately about Barney's farm seeds...but you cant argue with the cannabis cup, now can you. I will be following this thread to see how they do.

Guess you have never heard of bribery.

I would trust hundreds of grow reports over someone elses biased opinion, its a marleting ploy.

There's so many killer breeders and strains out there and garbage peddling pollen chuckers like barneys and greenhouse still win cups? Bullshit.

looks like you're the one who doesnt know any better..... I hate it when ppl just jump aboard the hate train just because "he said" or "she said"..... Why dont you actually try it out for yourself before you judge.... I'm not saying they dont "Bribe".... But you're saying if Sannies or TGA or other underground were to offer tons of free seeds or bud in order to ensure a victory or top place, you're saying they cant have a great strain and still do this?...... They pretty much get all this flak because they're on top...... Same how everything else thats on top gets hate..... Countless artists, athletes, celebrities.... Nobody ever hates on an underdog until they're on top.... So many people i've heard say they wont even try Barney's or Greenhouse because of this....... Again... I know they're not the best, and overhyped, but they do have 2-3 amazing strains... and I've only tried like 6...

So your saying they are on top but you know there not the best, but everyone hates them cuz there on top and then you admit they only have 2 or 3 good strains.

Kinda contradict yourself and prove my point.

Barneys is hardly "on top". All you have to do is read a little bit and you will see all the bunk seeds they sell that don't germ half the time.

It just amazes me how every promo when ppl show there purchases like 75% of them are barneys and greenhouse and then a few weeks later all the bad reviews start poppin up again.

Its like a never ending cycle and I'm just thinkin helloo…? Is anyone else payin attention.

There's so many good breeders out there to be messing with fakes.

Honestly, haters dont bother me if i've already smoked the bud, i judge for myself and then take that experience and weigh it against everyone else. of course i believe barney's farm has good genetics, and the sad thing is that most of their best strains arent cup winners. LSD, pineapple express auto, Vanilla Kush and Red Dragon are all some of the strains i've either sampled or grown and ive found all of them to meet my standards of dank week. I personally never grown greenhouse and their SLH isn't some pushover. my greatest problem with these companies is their lack of REG seeds, so they herm alot easier than regular seeds ever could and i've seen it in my Fem auto's, i tried to stress them for better quality buds and nanners were beginning to show, so i write off fem seeds unless you are growing purely for profit.

So many forum flamers, anyways, I assure you all I'm not trying to "promote" Barny's or Attitude Seed Bank. Truth is there is alot of good herb in the world. At first I thought I was only get 2 out of 5 to germinate, but I just had to be patient, at the 48 hour mark I had still had 3 more pop for me. It's great, but I posted this morning, and it's tonight, my 5th Tangerine Dream didn't pop, but both of my Super Lemon Haze popped, which is kind of perfect because that makes 6 seeds total, 6 plants is legal limit. I think I might make 1 of my plants into clones, I'm not sure. Anyways, if you guys have problems germinating just check your method and have patience. The wet paper towel flat on a plate with seeds on top and then a bowl put over the top of that with a heating pad and a towel over the heating pad to keep it from being too hot is a great method. It also helps if you fold the corner in and tuck the seed into teh corners.

I'll keep it posted, stop flaming please, 2 pages already of garbage, some people are noobs like me, this is my first grow, so I'm posting this to help others who look to the internet for help for weeks. Good luck :)

Ok, I'm makin my first update, and I got some extra tips for anybody looking for help as well. I'm 35 days in and I'm finally starting my flowering. I let them veg a little bit longer so that the Super Lemon Haze seeds could catch up a bit because they grow a little slower. They also popped 1 day later. TD is 70days and SLH is 90days.

1 TD plant is a little bit slow, because I dropped the seed before germination and when she first sprouted 1 of her leaves was a little stunted in growth and ability to open, she is currently my smallest plant, and I didn't Fim her because of this. Another one of my TD plants I fim'd wrong, so it got a little confused because the leaf part from the main cola top grew out wrong and some of the lower leaves wigged out a bit from the stress, still no signs of hermie or anything tho. I made another post about this plant if you would like to see u can click my name and check view all posts. But that TD is doing great now, it's all caught up, but is still shorter than the other 2 TD's. The other two are great, I did one perfect FIM-top and it made 2 perfect new main colas as well as it looked like 2 other main colas (a little bit smaller tho) for a perfect 4 main colas FIM. Another tip, don't try to spread your colas to bush your plant before flowering, the girls stems are kind of weak and instead of bending they will break at the node. If you do catch it when it first breaks tho, its possible to tape it back together or use a wire bread tie thing to tie it back to the main stem and hold it up, they will heal and be good as new if u catch it early enough. And the last one is doing great, the FIM was kind of wrong, and was an actual top, but still it made 2 main colas instead of one. Big bushy and beautiful, doing great.

The 2 Super Lemon Haze are slow grower's, but towards the end of the 35 days, after I fim'd, I have 2 main colas growing out from each plant and I'm starting flowering now. Some tips, when I introduced the Dried Ice for extra carbon dioxide in my grow room, I put them on a shelf next to or above the plants, showing the co2 directly onto the plants, the super lemon haze really bushed out and had a nice advance in growth. It's wonderful how much the photosynthesis rate goes up. I only have a 600w hps for 6 plants but still it helped. So I guess that's about it, I'm started into flowering now, and I'm switching to a 600w EYE Hortilux Super HPS bulb for the flowering phase. I'll let you know another update down the road towards harvest about how well the bulb, dried ice, and plants worked out near or after harvest.

I dont think the cannabis cup has the best in the world strains either. You need like a pound of weed to enter the cup and that might be a little hard to get on a plane and fly to Holland with, so I am not surprised that the winners are all Dutch.

I would also rather smoke a "bad" strain that was grown properly then a "good" strain that was grown poorly.

Also, don't use only 1 ballast for 6 plants, 4 of your plants will suffer because of the smaller area the light is being shined on. even if you were using a higher wattage, you should use 2 ballasts for area effect, cause mine do fine if there is direct light on them, and i'm only running 600w, but the parts out of the light suffer.

So anyways, I got some pics, so rock on, check em out, it was hard to take good picks of the main buds because of the lighting, and when i turned the light off the cam didn't want to focus properly and I was impatient cause i didn't want to leave my light off for long. Also if you use fox farms supplements, remember to -> shake well <- before each use lol. been using mostly just general hydroponics organic neuts now, plants are still doing good tho.

I've only had 1 sign of a hermie on 1 of the super lemon haze plants, but even that was only 1 spot 1 time, the rest of everything is beautifully feminine :)

ok check these pics then

Cool. I recently acquired a SLH seed and am highly interested (yes pun intended) in both strains. I've heard the SLH is very picky and demanding; a real high maintenance b!tch. Looking forward to how your gear works out and hope to learn something before I start mine next year. Good luck.

ok, the fem on the super lemon haze is extremely important. it's a dominantly sativa strain, so it comes out skinnier and wanting to be taller, but because of that it tends to be thin. If you fem it properly, so you get 4 colas instead of 2, then u'll be rockin the house with that badass bitch. problem is it's a haze, so the fem is actually harder than the tangerine dream, because of the way the top continually grows out. So you just gotta be really good at the fem so u get a little bit of tissue left on the tip of the stalk on each side of top. also when you fem it, make sure you fem it so the ur topping across in the cross direction of the 2 lower branches node just below where you fem, this way your 4 main colas will grow in 4 different direction and u'll get a big yield off your 1 SLH plant. other than that, ya she has a long flower period, and 1 of mine decided she wasn't gettin enough light so she's stayed shorter when we started flowering, instead of stretching taller like my other super lemon haze. (in the pics they are the plants on the right. The front one is shorter by her own will, while the one in the back is taller. really the main cola buds on the tall one are lookin pretty nice and big, but to be honest, all the smaller branches on this strain seem to have a pretty high chance of not yielding a very large batch, so the 4 cola fem is important.
