so I have been bombarded with questions about the T check thc meter .
I investigated this awhile ago but will go over it again.
The tcheck DOES NOT ACTUALLY TEST THC .
It is a VOC meter , or volatile organic compound meter. it is a light bulb that rests the density of gas between the light source and its sensor. It reads the light and deducts how much makes it there and does a simple deduction .it is meant for swap or bio gas. the gas has a different density like watching heat come up off a road.
a VOC can NOT differentiate between WHAT those gases are unless a very specific sensor is used for each and evey gas. in gas liquid chromatography the gas or liquid is separated into individual components by molar weight.
the Tcheck tests gases or substances the same way a EC meter reads EC. IT does not tell you individual minerals just the total conductivity they represent.
This Tcheck requires you to be connected to their data base. you do a test. the generalized result is sent to the company and they send back A STANDARDIZED REPORT not specific to this test . it says this very vaguely in their own literature . So does several reviews . some good and they quietly downplay it others critical because they bought one.
YOU CAN NOT MAKE SOME THING FROM NOTHING INCLUDING MEASUREMENTS.
if the specific substance does not interact specifically with a measurement device that separates it you can not get a reading.
This would be the same as using a flashlight to make a shadow of your weed on the wall and having the company send you a weight based on the size of the shadow it produced.
this is another perfect example of how the weed industry talks down to its customers assuming they wont know the difference.
