SuperSkunk & WhiteWidow Dwc Grow

Went out and bought this netting from my hydro shop, cost £10.
Think I might try a scrog grow once she's big enough but will see how things go first.

Managed to cut out the bottom of the pot between the holes so the roots can expand without restrictions. Here's a root pic.

Also bought a small Ona Block , doesnt smell that nice tbh, kinda like a toilet block smell lol. It does work, had it opened all yesterday and it got rid of the smokey smell in my room after a few j's.

I hate to say it but you are going to need to get netpots and get them out of those little planter things.

Roots are not going to be able to really get out and into the rez.

Roots get big. Here is a shot of mine at 30 something days.

Really curious how that ona block handles flowering plants. I have a 4" fan and carbon filter just started flowering so nothing smelly yet but im concerned it may get there.

Hi Honda , I do agree that net pots are the proper way to go but I've done it this way countless times. I cut out a triangle between the 3pot holes so now theres room for the roots. I have pics somewhere I will try n post to show you very large plants in the exact same scenario. Massive root systems hangin out tiny tiny pots.

hey MeanGene , i dont know how well it would work for a flowering plant on its own, i wouldnt count on it masking the smell coz its not that strong a scent tbh. Might mask a plant in veg. Im ordering my carbon n rvk 125 end of next week so smell wont be a problem. You will be fine for smell m8 , ive seen budget extractors work fine with the filters , i dnt know which type u have but if the small ones wrk then anything you have should do the same. My friend is runnin a tiny extractor fan that doest extract that well and i cant smell anything when i walk in his flat or room where the tent is.

slightly bigger pots that I cut a couple holes in to let roots expand and as the picture shows its ample space for them to grow in. Its the only example I can find just now. Peace.

Well guys its been a few days since my last post so thought id update with a few pics.

I have increased Ec to 1.09 and she's lovin it. The growth is still a lil slow compared to hps but the nodes are super tight. The spacing is only 1.5-2.0cm.
she's only say 5-6inches tall and she's on her 5-6th set of leaves.

shes slowly starting to branch out , once I add the 600w things should speed up a bit. Nice growth with the Cfl , close internode spacing but think I prefer vegging under hps's tbh.

Between now and Thursday I will be adding the 600w once I install the extractor and filter, will be using Rvk125 for exhaust and small extractor for cold air intake. Not sure on spec of the smaller fan but should do the job.
Filter is just a budget can , ample enough for the time being.

She's so pretty and green and perfect looking.

Today my 300w CFL blew up !!!!! Holy fuck lol i nearly pooped myself.
Half way through the day I noticed that only half the tubes were lit so i turned off the plug n took out the bulb,,, (looked fine) put it back in and switched it on , still only half the tubes were lit so i touched the base to see if it was tight enough and {BOOM} the unit actually went Bang right next to my face.

Wtf its only been used for 3-4 wks and bought brand new.
No damage done except for nerves lol so first thing in morning I'm off out to the local hydro shop for a light and will re build

Day 25 , first day under the sodium.

After a bit of faffing about I installed the Rvk125 , Filter and light.
Been on about 2hrs and temps are 87-88f which is ok I guess but would like it a bit cooler in there so I'm gona mess around with the fan to see if I can cool it dwn a few degrees.

SuperSkunk took a lil stretch yesterday compared to normal but didn't help my light gave up on me.
Now that she's under the hps though growth should accelerate rapidly.

Will post pics later once everything is double checked n checked again.

yeah I know my humidity is way low , I added a wet towel but might need to add some more.
Struggling to keep temps down this time round so will be getting a cooltube coz right now it peaks at 88-91f with the door closed.
Hot air is pumped out the window and room is really cold but it still rises.
Got the 16" fan blowin on the bulb to see if I can cool it by a degree or 2.
Air intake is small extractor but its just not powerfull enough to keep up with the heat. Think its about 125 m3 per hour.

Will be watching the SuperSkunk closely over the next few days just to make sure she's not stressing out too much in that heat.
Especially since she's been under a Cfl from the start.

Looking at her she doesn't seem too bad in there but I'm not taking chances, I will be all happier once I get the humidity up and temp down so will try a few things out over the nxt couple days and see how it turns out.
I can see myself really having to buy that cooltube though.
