Hey guys n gals , how you all doing.?

FAST DELIVERY Ordered yesterday and beanz arrived in the post today (nirvanah's) SuperSkunk & WhiteWidow...
Just been setting up my new grow tent 100x100x200cm , sweatin like a mother f*#ker lol but
got it in the end...

In this grow i will be using 2x20litre dwc buckets but still waiting on them arriving in the post so will update that part of the journal once they arrive.
So for now im Germinating the beanz the tradition way in wet paper towel , and once they crack they will both be placed in 2" pots of Coco Fiber.. Normally i would wait and place the cracked seeds into 1" rockwool cubes but this time im going for Coco since its kinda all i got till my buckets arrive.

Once they sprout they will both be placed in the DWC buckets and put under the 300w dual spectrum Cfl until there ready to flower under the 600w hps.

Nutrients will be Adv Nutes , i know theres alot of debate on there stuff but i have used there products for years and cant really fault anything.
Will only be using there Sensi Grow/Bloom for starters..

Here is a few pics of Day1 (wetting my beanz) & setup.. i have a pepper plant and tomatoes in there that are loving the Cfl but will take them out in a week or so when its warm enough for them to sit outside.WP_20160402_15_39_50_Pro[1].jpg WP_20160402_15_39_58_Pro[1].jpg WP_20160402_15_40_36_Pro[1].jpg WP_20160402_15_41_13_Pro[1].jpg WP_20160402_15_41_44_Pro[1].jpg

Hopefully tomorrow, or the day after my Dwc buckets arrive so i can get everything sorted n tested out. Wont need to worry about running temps with the Dwc right now as its only the 300w cfl I'm running until I switch over to the sodium , even then I will have a cooltube or some other type of air cooled reflector attatched , think im going to need it as this rooms gona get warm in summer. Time will tell though.

Dwc buckets still havnt arrived but not to worry. Took pics yesterday but didnt get chance to upload anything so ive taken a few today that shows how fast these lil suckers grow.

They were placed in the Coco only 4 days ago so these pics will show how much seedlings can grow in a short period of time,,, im hoping to take daily pics for this journal so you will get the chance to see these two strains change as they go through grow and flower..

So its "day 4" not much to report appart from both seedlings have popped up , the SuperSkunk has rapidly straightened up towards the light while the Widow is just starting to sit up straight.

Hi guys thanx for stoppin by,,, yeah was a nightmare compaired to a larger tent, probably because I couldnt really move much inside it lol. Thanx Chef , its taking time to get everything sorted for this grow but its getting there. All I need now is extractor ,filter , 600w hps and cooltube but as its early days I will buy filter and fan in 2wks then get the big light the following fortnight.

Bad news for the WhiteWidow man , you will see in a photo I'm gona post that she died on me. Her leaves were nice n horizontal one minute then they went vertical like were reaching up for the light then over the space of an hour or so she dropped over in the middle and never recovered. Quite sad bcoz she was the one I was more interested in..

Here is the picture of the Widow after she drooped , i tried holding her up but she was too far gone.

Both seedlings were in Coco so I guess it will have been because they was no nutrition in there plus I was using r/o water.

Couple of days later I noticed the SuperSkunk going pale and was slightly red/purple on the stems and bits on the new growth so I added 1ml A+B and 1ml cal mag to a 1litre of r/o water and gave her a good feed.
within hours I could actually see slight differences to the way she was looking and now she's perked right up.
I was taking a chance feeding it as early as I did but it worked out fine, the ppm at that point wasn't known as I didn't have a tester but went out yesterday and got one so that will help alot.
Had a problem on amazon trying to get my dwc buckets,, the seller was selling 2xdwc buckets for under £40 so I ordered them and nothing arrived , I've sent alot of emails and heard nothing , its in amazons hands now because I've made a complaint and I will be refunded in time , I will post pics of the sellers product so everyone can stay well clear incase the same thing happens to you or sumone you know.

WP_20160413_16_03_03_Pro.jpg I had to order 25litre buckets and make my own dwc bubblers, since my Widow died I only had to make one up this time round so wasn't that long before it was up n running.
I bought a variable powered air pump ,double outlet with a 4" flat but round air stone. Works well for the price, £14 out my hydro shop. Cut roughly a 2inch hole in the lid for the seedling and Hey presto, its done lol.

As the superskunk liked the amount of feed I added 18 litres of tap water , and added 18ml A+B and 3ml cal mag. At that point I still didn't know ppm's or anything,, yesterday I bought an ec pen from the local hydro shop for £25 , and new ph pen just incase.

My tap water comes out at an Ec of 0.26 and a Ph of 7.6 ,, The 18litres of nutrient solution came out at an Ec of 0.94 and ph of 5.9-6.0

yeah its kinda higher than I would have liked but the seedling didn't mind it so will keep it there for a couple weeks and take it from there.

Here is a picture taken just a few days after she was put in the bubbler, she's got bigger.
Not by much but now her roots are just out the bottom of the pot it wont be long before there in the water.

My calculations might be wrong but I get Tap water equals 166 ppm , dwc ppm 601 so that means I'm feedind 435 ppm of nutrient. ? In total though its 601ppm

wp_ss_20160416_0001.png wp_ss_20160416_0002.png this is the dodgy seller on Amazon guys , he receives payment but you don't get your stuff. He doesn't answer messages or emails,, its linked to chesteraquaponics.co.uk but even there you don't get any messages back.

So , getting back to the grow.
Were on day 13 , ec still 0.94 , ppm's 601 and ph 5.9

she's on her 3rd set of leaves now , staying nice n squat under the 300w Cfl. Nice wide leaves n seems to be a slightly diff pheno than the last lot I grew from nirvanha.
All in all shes a healthy lookin lady.

will post pics in the morning when light back on.

Hi MeanGene , yeah it was strange m8 and the First time its ever happened to me. Normally I use rockwool cubes and there just like Coco (No Goodness) and use just tap water untill there big enough to handle weak nutes , so cant explain what went wrong as at that size it probably wouldn't have needed feeding whether in Coco, rockwool or anything. Not to worry tho as I'm ordering a couple more WhiteWidow's in a fortnights time so will start again with them but will keep a very close eye on it just incase the same thing happens.

ec still 0.94 , ppm still 601 , ph had risen to 6.1 overnight but 4-6 drops of ph down took it back to 5.7-5.8

Yesterday the roots were just visible in the holes on the bottom of the pot but today there sticking out about 1 inch , so in the next few days I'm going to remove the plastic piece between the holes so the roots can hang down a little better , plus they wont strangle themselfs when they grow thicker than the original pot holes coz there tiny.
I did plan on transplanting from Coco into the net pot and surrounding it with rockwool to stop some of the Coco entering the dwc nutrient solution but its mega brittle and breaks up too was so to save hasstle and to save it crumbling away in my hands I decided to leave it in the pot as is.
