is there a growfaq for this? how do you do it? just bend instead of topping?
don't just bend, pinch between your index finger and thumb, then roll, lightly crushing the vascular tissue. then bend, in a couple days the top will be standing up again and right where you pinched there will be a knot, in a few more days you will notice major development in the lower branches.
here is a before and after shot of super cropping on my snow white,,,
and here is what it does to my girls, makes them bush out like crazy, I call them cannabis balls...lol
good question and good answer. been wondering myself. thanks.
where should I bend it? same place as if i were topping or do you go down further?
bend it anywhere.
Tie it down anywhere.
Get creative with it- the main reason for doing this is light penetration to lower branches.... Ive got a journal called- The Well Trained Whore- a fine example of L.S.T. and supercropping... find it and you will be glad ya did!!
you can go a couple nodes down, just be sure not to go so low the bent over top is so heavy it doesn't recover or snaps itself off from weight, in a couple days the top will stand back up, and within a week the bend will be a hard knot, the axillary branches below the knot will grow up to meet the top creating multiple colas, you can do the same thing to the new branches as they grow out creating a huge bush, you can do it quite a bit without stressing the plant to much, just don't go crazy...
what i have been showing you is not like LST at all, it is SOMA STYLE super cropping...although LST is bad ass also.
what Im saying is I supercropped and L.S.T.'d and my journal is a fine example of it- thats what IM saying..
sweet i will have to check your grow out, i love both techniques, do ever read any of SOMAs shit? he's one of my favorites, post a link to your LST and super crop grow please....
Great info, thanks guys
I was thinking about LSTing or supercropping some Hawaiian Snow to go low. Does/has anyone gone low with it before and if so how does it react? I've had outstanding results going natural (long n strong) but new digs forces new strategy. I would rather save the line than to waste time experimenting.
im at day like 42 of flowering heres some pics i have really mature
buds at the top
but not at the bottom im worried that the top will be done way before the middle and bottom.
hell no! way too far in, way, way too far in
