Supercritical CO2 extraction

Anyone familiar with this method or the equipment necessary to do it. I'm looking at equipment, but there's a bunch and I really first just want to get a general understanding of how this method works. Also if you know of any specific equipment models or sites to purchase equipment, I'd appreciate it. So far I've only come across set-ups costing $35k+. I've heard there are set-ups that cost $10-$20k, but couldn't find any of these.

Really any info you have or links to credible articles is what I'm looking for. Thanks

Check out http://jyndustriezllc.com/ for the low priced spread.

2,000$ for a kit

honestly Im not seeing anything that cant be fabed up for well under 200 - 400 $

A CO2 paintball tank refill station costs about 20$, The only other thing you would need is a pressure vessel (SS tube with welded and taped ends) and 2 pressure rated ball valves and 2 rated nipples + CO2 tank

Am I missing something hear ???

Maybe somewhat low on the cost guestimate, but certainly something one could make for themselves.

He is furnishing a scuba tank from Europe costing more than $200, valves, hoses, and fittings, pressure bottle, silicone heat mat, PID temperature controller controller, and insulating blanket. I would guess his costs are closer to $1000.

guys stop throwing money away. those co2 bags or buckets is the same as a . 5 gallon bucket of water filled with one 5 pound bag sugar. and active yeast. warm water 80f wile mixing it up. add sugar first then pore yeast into a bowl of water mix it then slowly dump it into the bucket of sugar. it makes very good co2 lasts 2 weeks costs . 4 to 6 bucks.

Whoa, looks interesting and spendy. Anyone read it to know if it covers cannabis?
I'll let you know, but it looks like everything but cannabis. But it does cover extracting oils from flowers for fragrance & pharmaceuticals, that should be pretty close.

Very nice doublejj, that must of set you back quiet a bit! I like his systems but they seem pretty simple so maybe I am missing something? He has 2 scuba tanks, one filled with material and the other with co2. He just simply turns the valve to allow the co2 tank to mix with the material tank and then collects it? Is that how it works..? If so... How come not many other people do this? I'm prettyyyy sure I'm missing something... lol

There's a little more to it than that. Proper CO2 extraction involves high pressures & temperatures. To get CO2 to go "Supercritical" and become a vapor it must be subjected to high temperature which increases pressure. Final extraction takes place at 4000psi. If not properly engineered with the correct fittings, hoses, welds, ect, it could be catastrophicly dangerous. Your not gonna find these parts at Home Depot....

Yeah that's what I figured too but dang I didn't think it goes to that high of a pressure. Very cool, make sure you take lots of pics and videos for us! How the hell do you put the material into the tanks anyways?? Does the top of the tank come off or something? Very excited to see your kit doublejj!

Super excited to see how it works might be worth an investment
