Super soil and organic feeding...

Hey All, I just have a quick question regarding super soil and feeding? Is it okay? I read that many people will make their super soil and not feed their plants for their entire cycle. Does it do harm to the plant to feed them when planted in super soil? Organic fertilizer teas? Compost and vermi teas seem like they would fine to me... Any input is much appreciated.

It just depends how hot your "super soil" is. There is no simple "one size fits all" approach here. If the soil is already supplying everything the plant needs, then yes, feeding more will be harmful. If the plant isn't getting quite everything it needs from the soil, then feeding will be helpful.

It all comes down to learning to read your plants and adjusting your inputs (straight water versus fertilizer) accordingly.

I would add myco at transplants and start running AACTs and see how they do. I've run a 6 or 7 month grow with just the subcool super soil recipe and water only. Half the strains did great and the other half got hungry in flowering. The next year I ran a modified super soil with myco and a little organic 5-5-5 tossed down at flowering and got better results. Last year I added AACT every two weeks and it made a huge difference. I was truly afraid that they would not fade in last couple weeks before harvest because they were so lush and dark green. But they faded right on cue and I had the easiest grow ever. Good luck!
