Super Cropping Auto Flowering Strains

I am a newbie with the auto flowering strains. I got a batch of Short Stuff #1 and wanted to see if super cropping during veg will improve my results. I got a bunch of regular good indicas and hybrids from bag seed going and super cropping them with great results. I'm planning to start a few of the AF seeds. The others are about to goto a 12/12 and stage to finish around the same as the AF.

Back to my first question, anyone super cropped an AF strain and what was your results? I have read that some AF strains will start flowering in about 2-3 weeks. During that veg time, I'm going to super crop and see if it increases my yield. My idea is if super cropping works with regular seeds, the concept can be applied to the AF strains during the veg cycle. I'm hoping to improve my yield with the short amount of veg time available. I have read that LST can also lengthen your veg cycle. This may buy me more time to get them bushier before they start flowering.

I'll get this journal started and keep you posted on the results. Any comments are welcomed. Peace. X-0~

prob not. bcuz it stresses the plants and slows growth. norm strains are ok to sc cuz you can veg them how ever long you want. so the have time to recover. autos its crucial for them to get as much growth as possible b4 flowering for best yield. now lst is ok for autos.

what he said....no no super croppin on AFs....alas LST after a week or 2 old will improve secondary budsite production...but its not smart to mess with an AF that has a schedule to keep....AF are the the pizza delivery guys of the mj world....regular mj plants are the surfers with no set schedule.....
I have an AF that has been LST ed in my journal if ya like to browse

Thanks for the tips. I'm still a little green with growing. This year, I'm testing different techniques to learn about how they affect growth. I started supercropping and LST about a few weeks back. I plan to FIM later on and see what kind of results I can get. All these techniques are new to me and in order for me to really get it. I'm gonna need to dive in and hopefully not screw it up bad.

johnnytoobad - What was your opinion on the results when you LSTed your autos?

supercropping and lst is for indoors, with outdoor growing you have unlimited space but limited time, with indoor its unlimited time but limited space. why is this important? when growing outdoors with a limited timeframe before winter you want your plant to grow as fast as possible in the short months given to it to get the best yield, anything like toping and bending your branches is not recomended, as at best they will slow down the overall growth of the plant. these plants have evolved over millions of years to grow in the most effecient way possible, if you want the best yield possible let it do what it evolved to do~grow as big as possible(auto's don't get very big, they need all the help they can get!) as fast as possible and make as many buds as possible(in nature that would make the most seeds/plants for the next couple years) lst or low stress training is already done by the wind and the rain outdoors, your plants will natraully have strong beefy stocks from being in the elements, and suppercropping is made for indoors where limited space or allowable numbers of plants force a grower to maximize his harvests by vegging a plant for longer than normal and pruning it till in effect he has made 1 suppercropped plant the equivalent of as many as a dozen sog plants, though you sacrifice time, because in an average grow space you will almost always yield the most indoors with sog(who require almost no veg time and yeild more per square foot if properly done). when growing outdoors for the biggest yield possible, especially with auto's, one doesn't want to sacrifice any time by trimming topping or in any way stressing a plant unless we have too, because it will usually only result in a loss of potential yield.

Thanks Beaner for the great advice. I do agree that if you can, just let it grow naturally. For me, I am trying to learn about the different techniques and how they affect the plant. Reading does not compare to actual experience. I am working on LST due to my time schedule. The supercropping and FIMing are just techniques to learn more about modifying the plant growth for maximum potential. I plan to use this experience on my next grows. Thanks again and peace. X-0~

I'm going to super crop an auto just for an experiment. I will have photo strains so yield wont bother me.

Nah all these people are wrong. Ive supercropped my nl auto from ilgm and i crushed the stem so much that it became red and flimsy. After a week it thickened and fixed itself and is growing strong and starting to flower. It all really depends on the plant condition and the genetics if you should or should not supercrop an auto
