Love those pics!!! P
People might wanna try SilverFields, it's the same SSH cut from SugarPunch and it's crossed with the killingfields (The One x Sannies Jack), so it's almost like Sugar Punch (SSH x The ONE), but more Sativa cause of Sannies Jack. Potency is suppose to be at least as good as Sugar Punch from a growers review, but it's stickier, sweeter, and has a different high than Sugar Punch. Sannie seems to think it's his top strain atm of all his strains..
I have some of the Silverfields beans, just no opportunity to run them yet...now I have to move them up the list;-)

Will be a while yet, there's a thread on his forum. In mid/early march he said approx 3 mos. He had a set back I guess. So not for at least another month and a half.

I also have a pack of Silverfields (2 actually) that were already moved up the list. Might end up running them in the fall first go.

So, I grew 2 SP plants outdoors a little below the 49th parallel. Not an ideal climate, but they were straight up outdoors and we had a decent year - not as good as last year we were hit really hard with rain and then about a week of huge humidity and fog late in October - harvested on the 20th - caused me to lose a large percentage of both of them. But what I did harvest, and it was early in the harvest window but still - GOD DAMN. This stuff is so fuckin good.

Also the organic mix I made for them worked out very well. They were super healthy plants for the most part - even the very sativa dominant pheno (which started flowering first but finished last) had leaves pointing to the heavens and I've found it's difficult with some sativa dominants to get them healthy like that - certainly hadn't been able to do this indoors. Both got blown over pretty hard by the rain storm but they weren't so developed that I lost a huge %. It was more the huge humidity at the end of October that did me in there.

Still, I have probably at least a lb from 2 plants and I'm happy. Maybe more it's a bit hard to tell with much of it still hanging (in a humidity controlled room full of leaves, not fans, but leaves so they are technically curing).

I need to get some of those silver fields seeds and stash them.

I am looking to cut down on my number of mothers... I have a great SSH and a great KF.. I am thinking I'll select one mother from the pack and drop the 2.. For now these two are going strong but my SSH is plant is at least 3 years old.

You could always just cross your KF mom to your SSH mom. Might be good.
Yeah, that is not a bad idea.

My only worry would be that I get a ton of 14-16 wk sativa plants in the mix... That pack of SSH was 90% 12+ wk plants.. 50% 14+ wk.

Any good recommendations on getting female pollen? col silver?

Most people just buy that tiersas mist stuff. Probably a worthy investment. You can make your own pretty easy too though if you have some silver kicking around. It doesn't take much AFAIK. I haven't made feminized seeds deliberately (heh heh) before.

I'd be pretty interested in the results of those beans though.

They are two phenomenal plants... I don't know much about breeding but i think i might take that cross (KF x SSH) and pollinate the resulting progeny with the KF again.

I have always been all about finding the great plant... making a fairly consistent bag of beans myself is just a whole different world I have never thought about...

perhaps i need to dive into breeding..

missed the reply

do it!

Perhaps work some C99 into the mix if you find a good parent to bring down flowering times.

Love KF from Sannie. You really can't go wrong with any of his, Esko's or Dynasty's strains. Dynasty's Carmel Candy Kush is really nice. I have some silverfields going right now, can't wait to see the end result. Sugar Punch has alluded me for some time now. It's definately on my most wanted list. Can't wait till there re-stocked, I'll be first in line.

I'm flowering Sugar Punch and Silverfields right now. Been loving the sugar punch phenos. Let them go 10 weeks last harvest but might be better at 9 weeks. I love the structure and denseness of the bud and it's resistance to wpm and pests. Probably one of the best strains I have grown so far. Long lasting high and sometimes auditory hallucinations when smoking SP.
