so i went to check on my outdoor plant and i found about maybe only 10% of various leaves around it have this white like sugar looking frost on them. Is this a major problem?! what has caused this? anything helps, i want to catch it now and treat it early if i can.

P.S. - i dont have pics because i dont have a camera at the moment.

Pull the leaves off, there are some treatments. Could be a major problem if left unchecked. If you deal with it now you should be ok although 10% of the leaves is a hell of a lot.

And yes, it's likely powdery mildew, unless you've been spraying your plants with something or it's resin (but you can easily tell if it's resin).

If it's mites and it looks like PM then they are obvious and all over the plant.

Try to improve your airflow.
