Not sure if he is literally poisoning them but it sure seems like a real douchey thing to do to fish that live for long periods of time and mature in noticeable ways. Pleco's can easily live for 15 years. That is probably just about as long as ol' sorethumb has been around.

This is important. I was assuming a pleco because that is what most people call sucker fish? Either way you are a real douche if your plan to combat slime in your res is using a fish.

i can't believe that Someone would think that fish in your DWC was a good Idea for the fish or the plants. It just goes to show you what kind of info is out there.

Bad idea... Fish want a maxiumum of 50 ppm nitrate, less than 1ppm nitrite, less than .5 ppm phosphate... Unless your running your hydro with no nutes in it, it is not good for the fish, whether they are organic nutes or not has no impact.
