Anyone rocking one yet?
Most of what they say is true! I will say it's a little rasp-inducing and intense, and benefits from some filtration because of the dry nature of the concentrated dry-herb-sourced vapors. That being said, with my solo portable herb vape it took about 45 minutes to deliver the same amount of medicine that this unit can deliver in about 4 minutes, if that.
I think it's a really quality unit but it has room for some improvements. The timer is a litlte frustrating and should be optional or maybe adjustable. This is a really minor point but it would be nice if I didn't have to sort of "keep an eye on the dial" to make sure it's staying on when I'm sitting at my computer for a few hours. It turns off automatically after 1 hour unless you tap it on and off at some point in the mean time, which becomes compulsive habit once you find it off when you were expecting it on a few times. It wouldn't be a huge deal if it weren't for the long warm up time. (12-18 min)
This limitation makes for some frustrating irony because the system delivers a hit so effectively and fast and yet if you don't keep an eye on the dial you might have to wait 15 minutes before you can use it... by which point many could have medicated already.
But, it's hard to get caught up on this, as much as it is an inconvenience at times, because the thing is ridiculously effective at medicine delivery. The fact that you can dab off the thing as well is what sold me... I expect to use it for both in the future, but since I don't have oils on hand right now, I am using the dry herb and it is working pretty phenomenally.
Some say you go through weed faster with this... I can sort of confirm this, but I also sort of deny it. Basically what it comes down to is that if you like to smoke or vape and are a little compulsive about oral fixations you might find yourself going through your supply faster just because you're used to slower delivery methods and the limitations they imply.
I would say I AM going through mine faster, but I've also BEEN RIDICULOUSLY HIGH SINCE I GOT IT. Before that I was going through weed slower, but was also teetering along the tolerance-line and wasn't getting very high anymore. I might have been going through it just a little slower though, if I had to guess, as I was still chain-vaping bowl after bowl in an attempt to get the effects I sought... (which never came at those doses) so I still tore through a lot of bud, and for much less reward.
At least with this I know I'm getting my value out of every load and I can count on feeling the effects both in my lungs (satisfies the smoker from days of old within me) and mor eimportantly in my body and psyche where I need it.
