FWIW - I've got nothing against Sub personally, and his gear is on my list of stuff to grow (probably number 57 or thereabouts), but he could easily be a character out of any Mike Judge film. I've suffered through five or ten minutes watching some of his films, er rants, on YouTube and the best I can describe them is like a cross between Alex Jones and Lawrence from Office Space.

i usually run 3 big plants in 15 gallon totes under 3k. shanged things around this run cause i had outdoor to start as well.....ive had journals on GP 2.7, 3, 3.1, all with three big plants. think what you want, i dont BS.

nope.... I 3lbs dry cured bud from 2k ...three plants total..in totes. advanced nutes. i average .75- .90 gpw.

i disagree, it could very well be the gear. I'm in a med state and ran a commercial warehouse for a year and half, ran several of his 'strains' and know of a couple other large scale growers that have also popped a LOT of his gear. 1) his space dude male offspring will toss nanners, doesn't matter which line, i've had herms from most of them. 2) some of his gear (especially space bomb) produces light weight buds - killer/cannasuer smoke, but no weight and a waste of time IMO (+ the nanners popping, not a winner in my book). best I could get from her after several runs was @ .3gpw from a space that consistantly puts out .8gpw+ depending on strain.

that said, he does have some killer gear and some great phenos can be had for a pheno hunter. my personal favorite was a cross done by a friend, Qrazy Train x Chernobyl .... one of my all time faves for sure.

Although he's obviously a business man, he shares all of his knowledge with the medicinal community, and does some charity work as well. i don't see any other breeders opening up and revealing how they do things like Sub does. THe weed nerd is obviously promotional, but the guy does it to entertain and to inform. TO each their own, but give a little respect where its due. And if you've ever grown TGA gear, you'd know his descriptions are spot on for his strains, and you get what you paid for.

Joe P - will give you his light schedule, and show you how he makes his legendary hash if you ask him, with no BS..

I'm not knocking sub with this post, just letting you know of some breeders to look for.

well i shouldn't have said ANY other breeders, but those that you have listed have good info for sure. I just think the accessibility of Subs info and his photography work make a difference. I know there are lab results for Nevil's strains and any strain you can think of practically, but Sub tells you how he made his' strains more CBD rich, and how he gave a particular strain more THC A and so on.. YEah he might act like a dick some times and come off like an asshole, but you gotta accept people for who they are. I'm not trying to suck Sub's dick or anything, I just appreciate what he does and his methods.

i love it when i hear people knock reputable but abrasive breeders . . . .who still have done a thousand times more for this industry then the majority of growers/breeders/users/activist who have only jumped on the band wagon in the last 10 years because they can make a dime and have no other work . . .so now they grow/breed . . . . .

just remember folks this industry has been underground and completely established for almost 50 years, and many have sacrificed there lives and money and time to get where they are . . . .

respect isnt given it just is . . . if you have it for others then others will see it in you as well

You will learn more from reading Teaming with Microbes than from the Rev. Or at least i did.
