Subcool genetics, dying?

I need to ask breeders, and especially he who bred this strain, an important question regarding my Conquistador crop. So far I have eight plants going. At this point, I have 2-3 that are definitely male, a fourth that is likely male, one that I think may be a girl, and the other two... meh, not sure just yet.

In any event, I want to plan ahead. Should I end up with all males of this Conquistador line, what do you, Mr. Subcool, suggest for crossing with? I have on hand three females grown from bagseed, two of the three are clearly sisters, heat-stressed, lighter green, thinner, more gracile leaves along with a more open and airy structure. The third is lovely dark green, bushy, fat, yet short, leaves, just looks her best. Then I have one Papaya female, and two California Indica x Big Bud females.

My mystery ladies (the pretty one might be my preference)?
Ms. Papaya?
The CIxBB girls?

All three, or a combination thereof?

I won't breed any hermaphrodites because I don't think it's a great way to get started, and I would prefer to include general hardiness and appearance as a consideration when breeding. Of course, if I DO get at least one Conquistador woman, I'll be keeping that strain pure. :D

Conquistador has been sold out for close to 3 years now,
Many people make f2 copies but we have learned so much about hybrids since then we have moved on to more resinous and more ptent strains.
That dosn't mean Connie isn't a winner but we are alot like custom bike builders at times we make a cross once releasing it to the public and then never again.
This makes our crosses special and not as easy to get as some other seed makers.

Connie was basically a commercial production plant with high thc.
It was designed for high yields not recessive drug traits.

Since then hashQueen was released and has also sold out completely.

Here are some pictures of Conquistador

How do you decide what strains or lines you're going to keep in production?

I seriously doubt my girls will attain those sizes. Although the one transplanted seems to be appreciated stretching out her roots.

Its really very simple, in my travels I collect genetics and when something is created that we like better we select one mother and pass her into the medical community. WE keep mainly 10 moms to work with and when a new strain comes along we run her for at least a year before making any tough decisions but if we feel new genetics have entered the pool that are better than one of ours we select the one we feel is on the bottom of the list and shes outa here.

Now having said that sometimes mistakes are made and that is the case with strains like Dannyboy, Astroboy and Conquistador the male was lost by keepers who did not understand the importance of the male and focused on there budding crop instead. An understandable mistake for sure but one we try and avoid these days.

Sigh................

There went my dreams of playing with this set of genes.

Seeds are awesome, like tiny little time capsules of genetic information. I wish more people at least attempted to produce good quality seeds, Im sketchy on most peoples stuff as they just randomly throw plants at one another it seems.

Sub, sent you a message, hope to hear from ya.

I just typed a wealth of personal opinion on
this specific topic, and even impressed myself,
only to accidentally mash the perfect osX key
combo to go back a page, and thus lost my
words. Long gone story short... I feel that
everyone that has shared amazing journals or
personal experience can have the front row seats
to a new era of highly collectible, and extremely
profitable, products.

Products that the buyer must
trust as being the actual item they are paying for,
as there are no ways to authenticate any Cannabis
product 100%. While this might seem as a bad thing,
there is only one other naturally created source of
income that can, and does, far exceed the highest
prices of the most sought after buds. This one naturally
grown, highly cared for, extremely collectible, and highly
profitable resource is the only other item in the world that
is sold at auction without any means for a 100% verification
of authenticity. It's also very popular in California.

It's wine.

Weed... Cannabis... the miracle plant that we love, and
hopefully respect, is the NEW wine. The new wine.

Just last month an Internet millionaire, from China, came
to California for a wine auction in the honor of the late
Robert Mondovia(RIP). This internet money man socialist took
the lot of the day with 104 magnums(2 bottles in one) of Napa
valley wines for $150,000. Do the math on that one. He also had
the highest paid bid of the day for 6 bottles of Screaming Eagle
1992, from Napa Valley California, for a solid $500,000 American.

That's $83,000 dollars a magnum, 1.5 liters of liquid.

Imagine 10 years down the road, and Marijuana laws have changed
dramatically, hypothetically speaking, and you have saved jars of
well cured Jack Herror, Blueberry, OG Kush, and New York fucking
Sour Diesle! Did you know that the conditions that curing weed require
are just between that of a wine cellar, and a Cigar humidor? We are
sitting on not only and equitable trade, but also something that smells,
tastes, looks, and ingests BETTER WITH AGE.

Gold rush.
Wine rush.
Weed rush.

*sorry, it more like long story lost long. Also, I do
not like the word Marijuana, nor do I like the name weed.
Using them in this post was necessary, but this plant deserves
a new name. Weed will do for me, for now. BREED NOW.

Some just call her, simply, mary. Good post, but... sub convinced me to kill the males and work with those that were chosen on different criteria that would, hopefully, preserve dankness.
