Ninth-graders design science experiment to test the effect of cellphone radiation on plants. The results may surprise you.

Five ninth-grade young women from Denmark recently created a science experiment that is causing a stir in the scientific community.

It started with an observation and a question. The girls noticed that if they slept with their mobile phones near their heads at night, they often had difficulty concentrating at school the next day. They wanted to test the effect of a cellphone’s radiation on humans, but their school, Hjallerup School in Denmark, did not have the equipment to handle such an experiment. So the girls designed an experiment that would test the effect of cellphone radiation on a plant instead.

The students placed six trays filled with Lepidium sativum, a type of garden cress into a room without radiation, and six trays of the seeds into another room next to two routers that according to the girls calculations, emitted about the same type of radiation as an ordinary cellphone.

Over the next 12 days, the girls observed, measured, weighed and photographed their results. Although by the end of the experiment the results were blatantly obvious — the cress seeds placed near the router had not grown. Many of them were completely dead. While the cress seeds planted in the other room, away from the routers, thrived.

The experiment earned the girls top honors in a regional science competition and the interest of scientists around the world.

According to Kim Horsevad, a teacher at Hjallerup Skole in Denmark were the cress experiment took place, a neuroscience professor at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, is interested in repeating the experiment in controlled professional scientific environments.

VERY fascinating.

I've also read reports of people so sensative to WiFi that they have to live in farrady cages to keep the noise of the WiFi from harming their ears and causing headaches.

Either way, I will no longer have my phone within 5 feet of me at night.

And now that I think about it, what's it doing to my sack all day while it's in my pocket?!

Your sack is fucked bro. 86 it now before it's too late.

Interesting article! I have my plants in a closet of a room with my router. Sure there's a closet door and a wall, but it's within 5 or 6 feet. Sounds like I'm fucked.

it's microwaves...of course it's gonna fuk up fragile tiny living things. probably why songs help things grow. the frequency is right

That's funny you mention that.
I noticed on my tobacco plant, the leaves (petioles?) "wave" out from the stem.
It's like a sinusoidal wave, that grows exponentially in amplitude with a related expansion in wavelength, until it breaks down to a "zero" line...
Coincidence?
...
or aliens?

sure. Guys backyard is in line of site with a cell tower(looks about 200 yards away). His plants (just random landscaping plants)are dying and have retarded growth. He shows in video how a tree is blocking some of the radiation from the tower and his front yard plants are being totally blocked and are nice and lush. So maybe at a distance of 500 yards (all guesstimations on my part), the plants are out of the radiation field

Maybe someone is pissing on his plants when he's not looking?
Or maybe he's just a couple cards short of a full deck?

No wonder ive been growing tomatoes near a wifi router and everytime i eat one it says network interuption because i have to pay the past due bill!! Fuq!!:wall:bongsmilie

put a plant near your wifi router....can be any plant...
I've already done that for years. No ill effects observed.
If Finshaggy made that vid, it would've been funnier. I heard if plants don't get enough electromagnetic radiation, they'll die!
If microwaves kill plants, think about the nanowaves!

I started this thread because a friend of mine got mad that I didnt tell him about it. He started some seeds on his warm router and they rotted or some shit. He started sending me some links about it, of course I had no idea till I researched a bit more on it. js:)
