strange dots and squiggles on leaves

Probably leaf miners. If not those. Then it could be a caterpillar?

Trouble with leaf miners is that they eat the leaves from the inside. You either have to make up a neem drench. Or gently squeeze the affected areas... or cut leaves off.

Caterpillars can be hard to spot. They'll sometimes be found hiding under leaves. Almost camouflaged. I normally just squash those. And any eggs I may find.

I did see a tiny fly looking pest landing on the same plant over and over and running in and out the coco. Would cannas pest nutrient/bottle deal with this ? As I am running canna line

If you water your medium before it gets dry about an inch from the surface. You've probably also got fungus gnats.

I'm not sure Dylan. I don't deal with hydro.
Neem oil will likely help you out though. Bugs and other annoying little fuckers hate that shit.

The flys are probably fungus gnats they look like mosquitoes to me but smaller. Thats a sign of overwatering. Id suggest letting your coco dry out a little more between waterings and put some play sand on top inch or two of your coco. Be careful when u water with sand just to prevent it getting washed away, water slowly. The larvae will crawl through and cut themselves up. Adult Fungus gnats start flying when they are at a good population. Id also spray something with spinosad its a nerve agent and will prevent them from eating or drinking. You will have to do a followup soray 3 days after to make sure you get the larvae that hatch. You can keep blue or yellow (google which color theyre attracted too more) sticky traps to catch the adults. As far as your leaves thats another pest all together o believe the first suggestion was right. Not sure how far along you are or how close going into flower but you shouod find something that is systemic (will absorb into the plants tissue) so you can kill whatever is inside eating it. Be careful doing this too close to flower because it will end up in your final product if you do it too late

Im not sure if starting over is an option but they are pretty damaged and at that size im sure will be stunted for awhile. I dont like to ever suggest discarding but those plants are still babies and are already at a disadvantage. Or you can keep and try to treat so you can better handle the situation next time. Try to be more vigilante it seems like the issue has been going on for awhile now?

I just read about adding silica to my grows. It might help you as a preventative. And as a buffer in your current situation. Get some Armor Si or similar. Makes it harder for infections and bugs to do damage to your plants. Basically toughens the cell walls and acts as an immuno booster.

Can I use this with canna line nutes?

Not entirely sure. I can't see why not. Its something they'd normally get in good soil. Canna line may even have their own silica/silicon brand.

It's something that occurs naturally in soil. Helps plants to take up nutrients, deal with stress (heat, bugs, salts and metals buildup). And makes for stronger branches.

Looks like leaf minors just remove infected leaf and crush between fingers. Hard to eradicate. This will kill larvae inside leaf structure. Must get rid of the small flies in your growing area. Keep them growing they look good
