Strain info, flowering times...general noob stuff lol

Hey all

I got some seeds from Seedsman..easy, on time delivery and happy with that experience... Here's what I got:

1) Jack Herer - Freebies
2) Critical - Freebies
3) Papaya
4) Master Kush
5) White Rhino

As I'm looking to harvest at the same time so I looked into how long they flower before I ordered the seeds. Other than critical, they all say the same thing; 7 to 9 weeks.

This seems a little suspect to me but maybe I'm just strain inexperienced. How likely is it that if I throw papaya and white rhino into the same grow space they'll finish at roughly the same time?

What's the best source of accurate grow info on these or any strains? Leafly seems comprehensive but it also could be complete bs.

Some say they are moderate or hard to grow...any thoughts on that?

As a beginner I'd suggest you watch some tutorial videos on growing cannabis in general and I'd also suggest either doing a shit load of research for free online or buy some books.

When I started researching in 2002 growing weed was illegal so it was hard to come by info plus I didn't do much internet back then so I ended up buying Ed Rosenthal's Indoor growers guide book.

That taught me enough to start producing the best weed in my neck of the woods for quite a while, lol. I never would have thought to order seeds or get an actual hid if I would have only listen to the shitty advice I got from people back then.

Jorges Cervantes indoor bible is a better product and that's the book I'd recommend for you coupled with watching some of video's online. Info on this forum can be great but you'll have to search through the older threads to find a lot of the good stuff.

Thanks for the reply. I've got a few indoor grows under my belt and a grow box system I've developed based on some years of research. My first grow was in 1976, outdoor but clearly prior to there being commonly recognized "strains" beyond Thai, Colombian and Acapulco Gold, Maui Wowee, Mexican dirt weed and what bag seed I threw in 5 gallon containers years ago to have weed to sell for school clothes money.

I have Jorge's book and have read it extensively. Perhaps the section on strains escaped me however, how to get the highest yield possible from a 2x2 space did not. lol

Thanks for the tip. I'll take a look at the book again, outdated as it is.

Would anyone else have actual answer to the question while I'm thumbing through Jorge's book??
