Hello All,

Thank you for reading my post and helping me with my related issue I am having. Okay I am registered with the new mexico department of health to consume cannabis. I was diagnosed with ptsd, anxiety, and depression. I got a sativa and indica but cannabis now gives me panic attacks. I don't know if the thc in the cannabis is too much for me so I need some advice what I should do.

I want to use it as a therapy but don't want the panic atracks. Should I use something with less thc in it? Any recommendations as far as strains that are real weak as I may be sensitive to stuff like this. I have never had a issue when I was younger. I know I have to probably do more to get it in my system to be use to it. I am just at the end of my road as far as what to do. Ptsd sucks.

I took like two hits just now. I do not plan to grow but just smoke. do you guys suggest that instead of inhaling first hand, try and get it in my body by second hand smoking?

How much do you smoke? Have you tried edibles? I slice an eighth of a cheeba chew and I am ready in half an hour to face my day. I don't smoke much, when I do. I do like the feeling of being high, but I don't get high until all my important stuff for the day is done. I do smoke a small bowl every now and then throughout the day, but I don't have a fierce case of ptsd. I smoke green crack, candy jack and white widow. I don't know if those are specific for ptsd, but it helps me enjoy my day instead of tolerating my day. Sour diesel is a good one, but I have yet to get one of mine to flower. When I have smoked sour d, it hit me like a sativa, so I would think it would help ptsd. Most indicas make me sleepy and hungry. I don't smoke indica very often, when I do, it is usually at night before I go to sleep.
Just try to titrate your medicine in small amounts until you understand how much you need for your symptoms. Then you can hit larger bowls and do less of them for your treatment.

Well i took like two drags of a joint that i had pre-made. I have not tried edibles, i was concern that they are to concentrated for me and i did not want to have a bad high. What are your thoughts on them? The thing is i have crazy rage from my ptsd and finally come to terms i am going to be this way for the rest of my life. I plan to apply for disability for right now as the ptsd is affecting my life. So now i plan to fully commit to having cannabis be my medicine. I am just trying to find way i can build that tolerance up in my body. Last time i smoked too much i had a panic attack with Indica. Right now i am not too high but do not have anxiety either just pretty much relax with a bit of energy.

I am going to start consuming it a couple times a day, one or two puffs to start till my body needs more. I know indica is like a couch lock and sativa feels like it has energizing properties to it. I honestly looked down upon smoking cannabis as an adult till all the prescription meds that my doctor were giving me made me feel worse than being high. I was very skeptical about smoking cannabis as an adult but now since nothing else has worked, i am going to give this a shot. If cannabis does work out for me, i want to be a normal function person where cannabis does not inhibit me to do certain things i need to get done throughout the day.

Thank you, I appreciate your reply and information. Were you little uneasy at first smoking cannabis for your ptsd?

a few times before when i smoked a lot of indica by myself i got really bad flashbacks, but i smoked weed before i got ptsd so i wasn't nervous about trying it after i got ptsd or anything if thats what your asking. if the incident happened recently i recommend you stay away from weed altogether and maybe have a few drinks instead to try to ease your mind for about a month, so you have a little bit of time to try to get over it, then try smoking satvia it should do you some good then. good luck bro.

also hang out with your friends as much as you can, it helps.

Thanks, well the occurrence happened about 6 months ago. I think I just smoked too much thinking I can handle what I did when I was a teenager. When I smoked sativa together I felt good, a little nervous about driving to the store but very manageable. The occurrence happened with indica, which I found weird because it's supposed to bring you down.

Yes, that is what I meant sorry. I will try that out, I just irritated being around people so I just wonder how I can cope and happy around them.
