Dude, it's not the cannabis, it's the smoking. It has been proven that smoking cannabis long term will cause the same as smoking cigarettes but the onset will be much earlier/quicker. There are no harmful effects of THC to the brain or body, at least not by ingesting it they way you are. You can't possibly smoke enough marij to "OD", it's physically impossible. THC is so non-damaging to the human body that it was synthesized to 100 to 800 times its natural strength and was being used recreationally in "Spice" (aparently there has been a stop to that). The compound was called HU-210 if you would like to look. HU-210 is Schedule I.

A CT scan is the way to go. Saved my life.

What a crock of fucking shit.

And just for the record, vaporizing isnt as healthy as people make it seem. It is just a healthier alternative to normal combustion methods. Vaporizing pure (or near pure) THC is the way to go, unless you can get your hands on some medicinal spray (Sativex) or some high potent edibles.
So this CT scan checks your lungs? Always thought herb wasn't that bad for your lungs. The doctor told my grandmother is she didn't stop smoking cigs she would die soon. After her heart operation she was a zombie from all the meds she was taking. I got her toking herb for a year now and she says she feels healthier now than she felt the past ten years. She is 80 years old and carrys her greatgrandchildren around like nothing. A year ago she was close to bed ridden. It improved her health soo much her doctor prescibed her the medical marijuana knowing she had lung problems from cigs. I guess everybodys body is different and what works for some doesn't work for others.

Plus I have a 5 footer ready to pull in about a month give or take a week. My unce said the strain is a 90 day wonder so it should be early finishing.

Yes, the CT scan I had done checked my lungs and my throat, I used to breathe perfectly fine but after a decade of heavy regular MJ use I now have two fairly serious lung conditions.

See here: This is a study from California NORML, a very refutable source.

"The vapors [of MJ] were found to consist overwhelmingly of THC, the major active component in marijuana, whereas the combusted smoke contained over 100 other chemicals, including several polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), carcinogenic toxins that are common in tobacco smoke. The respiratory hazards of marijuana and tobacco smoke are due to toxic byproducts of combustion, not the active ingredients in the plant, known as cannabinoids."

And as far as the great health of your grandma? Thats great! I hear stories all the time of MJ freeing people from the chains of prescrip meds, but you have to take in account that she is not smoking 20-30 full size joints a day. Smoking becomes a real hazard when it is done frequently over a long period of time.

"Like tobacco, marijuana smoke contains toxins that are known to be hazardous to the respiratory system. Among them are the highly carcinogenic polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons, a prime suspect in cigarette-related cancers. These toxins are essentially a byproduct of combustion, separate from the pharmaceutically active components of marijuana, known as cannabinoids, which include THC. ... chronic pot smokers have been shown to suffer an elevated risk of bronchitis and respiratory infections. Respiratory disease due to smoking may therefore rightly be regarded as the primary physiological hazard of marijuana."
http://www.canorml.org/healthfacts/vaporizers.html

A good way to compare is if someone smoked one or two cigarettes a day. This person could most likely go on their whole life without even having a bad cough, same for a semi-regular "stoner" who tokes once or twice a day. However, you start smoking 15-20 cigarettes a day you will most likely end up with some type of related "problem" with your respiratory system and the same goes for marijuana. Smoke 5-10 joint or hit enough bowls every day for a long period of time and you will end up with problems.

To put it simply for every one to understand, inhaling combusted plant material (no matter what type it is) is not good for you. The more you do it the more likely you will end up with problems.

Today I been feeling kinda weird I think it's because I'm not used to being sober for this long.

sorry to be a buzzkill but it annoys me when people seem to think smoking weed isnt bad for your lungs. I remember years ago some stoner telling me that and somehow I believed it for a time.
Im living proof that fucker was full of shit.

Technically speaking it has NOT been proved that smoking cannabis causes specifically cancer, because of insuffcient "proper" data, yet labs have found "several polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), carcinogenic toxins" in combusted marijuana smoke.

Try using a vaporizer if you still want to smoke pot. Its a world of difference and gets you higher. You could just be allergic too. Allergies can start or stop at any time during your life and aversions to marijuana are abound. Some people are sensitive to the plants in flower (my wife for instance) while others can't smoke it no matter what. (a friend of mine) I suppose its possible that your body decided that it didn't like you smoking pot. I've seen stranger. You should try eating it and see if you get the same reaction. Eat what would be considered a normal dose and see what happens. THIS IS DANGEROUS if you are prone to adverse reactions from consuming marijuana. You could just be reacting from the smoke itself but I'm not a doctor and neither are most people on this board. Good luck and be safe.

I just took two hits out of my pipe. I didn't hold it in long or even flame it long. I feel stoned and no signs of having a whitey. I couldn't take it I squeezed one of my buds that I harvested the other day and the smell was soo good I couldn't help myself . Plus I wanted to see if after a couple hits if I got any chest pains or dizziness . So far so good tomorrow I have to hike to one of my grows good thing I have a partner. Maybe this is a sign from god saying to take it easy and stop smoking soo much. I still want the cat scan but I have to wait for my health insurance to kick in before I think about going back to the hospital.

It is funny that u mentioned there are no doctors on here. That's ok because I got more answers on here than the doctors in the hospital could give me and they were in the business 20+ years. Thank u for your concern I will dedinately try my best to get a vape as soon as I can. Thank u all for your inputs and hopefully the thread I created will help other people who have suffered the same symptoms.

My father-in-law has a genetic disorder that kinda snuck up on him like that. It is caused by ingesting too much salt. He always ate alot of salt and everything was fine. Then one day he left work and was driving home and he said he got really dizzy, passed out and ran his car into a guardrail. He was taken to the hospital, where they couldn't find any issues. Then at some point he found a doctor that figured out the problem. Strange thing being that he was in his late 30's early 40's before it all started. He can't consume more than like 600mg of sodium a day or he'll just hit the floor. Not like salt his dinner and fall over but later out of nowhere just pass out. I'll find the name of it.

Had no salt that morning. The night before I had a pretty salty meal. I had fried rice that had way too much oyster sauce on it.

If I smoke weed after going to the gym, I pass out.

I can remember twice when I've woken up gasping for breath. For some reason I stopped breathing whilst asleep.

that must be the one hit kill you shit, type of bud.. wow such a good strain... in all seriousness.. start checking out what could be wrong with you... i highly doubt its the smoking but rather something else.... document anything you feel wrong about you and see if their is a pattern after several months or years... google any symptoms and ask 10000000 questions whenver possible... Good luck

I would be seriously worried about your health or the pot your smoking, if it causes any such effect as heart issues, breathing shortness or orientation issues. THC and CBNs DO NOT effect these parts of your body in that way(by themselves). Any temperature change beyond 1 degree up or down should not be caused by marijuana. High Nytrogen content in the marijuana, low electrolyte content in your own system. Or the two together, topped with a genetic defect could possibly cause these issues.

There has been heavy testing on this troughout the years. On marijuana, tobacco and other consumed plant products.

Like any medication, if you think this is caused by MMJ, do not continue to consume it, but I would suggest the physical, with complete alergy and blood panel tests. Could be your body or brain chemistry is off, or that something used to grow or cure the MMJ you were smoking/eating/consuming caused it. Marijuana by itself will not cause these physical issues.

If the MMJ was an all chemical harvest, and they did not properly clean, or cure it, this could be your issue. Or for that matter if you happen to have any number of undiagnosed problems, such as diabetes for instance. . . . taking any medication, not properly prescribed could be a MAJOR ISSUE!

Without a proper physical and complete blood work(enzymes, chemical counts, ppms on heavy metals etc. . . ) and a complete allergy test including a HEAVY METALS test, it is impossible to say what happened!

That being said; I think it is quite possible that you have been smoking something made with chemical fertilizers, improperly flushed, you would take on these heavy metals, salts and direct chemical compounds n k p etc. . . in your system. Add to this any physical issue such as dehydration or diabetes you would have issues with tissue and vessel tone. Which would lead to many other serious issues including the ones originally described.
