Sticky Grape Krush

Pics of a very bomb mutant pheno of Grape Krush. This pheno is damn near covered in trichomes when vegging! This plant has been flowering for one day, obviously didn't get these trichomes over night. I should've taken pics of it a couple days ago while it was still vegging, the trichomes are much more visable under the T5's.

Anyway
I bought a ten pack a couple years back and all of the end product was very good. However, one of the phenos had unbelievably big stems, another one didn't yeild very well and this is the one that I chose to keep throughout the years. Fairly tough to clone and slow in veg, this plant makes up for it once you start flowering with some of the dankest looking buds I've seen and a sweet grape smell and taste. She has the deformities found often in DJ shorts Grape Krush and Blueberry.
I heard last year that DJ short discontinued Grape Krush and at that time I went to Hempdepot.com and looked through the list and found DJ shorts (Grape Krush 2), if you go there now they have the original Grape Krush on the list, I'm not sure if what they're selling now is the same as what I got though.
I'll see if I can't find some photos of some of the buds.

We (me and a friend at the time) originally ordered Deep Purple from TGA, but by the time our money order had reached hempdepot they ran out of Deep Purple. They sent us 5 free Jilly Bean seeds and an email informing us that they were out of Deep Purple. We decided to go with Grape Krush instead of the deep Purple and looking back now, damn did we get lucky considering that Grape Krush was discontinued right afterwards and I'm willing to bet it's better than Deep Purple anyhow. The Jilly Bean was great too!

I recall reading an article from him talking about mutants and how in most cases they were some of the most potent plants he's ever worked with. I'm not sure if that is the case with this plant and why it is so resinous, but some of his strains are known to express these deformities and sometimes be mutants. So, perhaps these phenotypes are not too rare in the Grape Krush.
Unfortunately, in the article he states that most Male mutants are sterile and most female mutants are VERY hard to clone, I believe his words were "nearly impossible to clone". And I do have a lot of trouble getting her to take root.

Still has the claw very badly. I'm doing 3 different strains and the other two are high feeders, Grape Krush not so much. I've just been mixing the water to the other two strains needs and the GK hasn't been burned so far, just has the claw all over. The Grape Krush is growing just as vigorous as the others.

I'm taking one plant down now and one next week, trying to find the best harvest window. She had the claw during the entire flower period, yet did great again.
This is an entire plant given about a half week veg time, this strain seems like it could rock out a SOG room.
